Shoot Trent from caraudiocraze an email and ask. As far as i know the units are ready for shipment but due to chinese new year all the courier company in china are currently shut till the 10th of feb.
i think we only need 2 more ppl in the GB to get the units for $680 inc. shipping in the US.
You can also contact LuvMyRide who organized the GB initially.

Someone linked earlier to an alternative for the seat-heater strip made by Metra. I found a better picture of what it looks like installed, I'd still like to see a nice color picture though. It's not ideal, but it's an alternative and I think I like it better than what Dynavin currently offers since they do not offer wood-grain.

Ideally, I'd like to have something like the Metra where the strip is housed inside the ashtray but where the factory door/cover remains intact so that I can keep it closed all spring/summer/fall.

I'm interested in the group buy at this point, what is the pre-order payment required?

Post his results as I'm interested to. What, if any, is the pre-order/reservation costs?

What about routing options?(for the Navi)

Hows the Fm reception relative to the factory unit . I don't think the factory
unit has very strong reception.
Can you play mp3's from a Dvd.
Do have to have a Navi DVD in at all times for Nav

What base system did you start out with and how did you interface it with the speakers
and is that an improvment over the base sound?
What is your amp and speaker setup if not stock?

More questions:

How does this effect built in mic?
How does this effect BMW Assist?

You loose everything connected to the Most Bus

bmw assist , bmw bluetooth , ipod , cd changer but you get everything
back but the bmw assist from the head unit. The problem I see is in other
aftermarket installations you loose the ability to update the software through the BMW programmer(for the engine and all that other electronic control stUff) followed by the error messages from the disconnected modules and the alarms. At least this is what some people report. Some people relocate there old head unit to somewhere else in the car to overcome this(the old systems remains connected so the new head unit is a seprate system and the car looks the same electrically .
Kind of an unelegant solution though.

So, are you saying that the Dynavin HU retains the vehicle SW update capability?

Sounds like this doesn't turn on/off with the CAN command, and wants a switched power lead off the FB? Is that right?
