Rattle/creak from the roof
E91, full sunroof. I have a rattling/creaking noise that comes from just above my right shoulder - sort of where the grab handle is. Tightened it (torx screws) and loosened it again but to no avail. Suspect it may be sunroof related.
It's not terrible but just slightly annoying. Any ideas? |

I had this on my 6 - took me ages but pinned it down to the sunroof. I fixed it by moving the inner cover (roof lining) down a little. (No easy way to do that on mine short of getting your fingers/hands into the gap and flexing a little.)
Try getting someone to push up against the roof in different areas whilst driving.

Paul - I have done that myself (ermmm - on a quiet road) and it does make a difference. Rattle seems to go.
Will do some investigating this weekend - and try that out. |
