Theres certain posts coming up on STR stating NAG (owners of the ring) trying to cover up fact the taxi was involved.

Lot of noise fact there where no marshalls etc around.

Seems its getting not good over there, youd think with the constant rise in lap prices they would start to put up marshalls at the bad corners etc. Instead they just use the money to subside the failing complex at the F1.

I think unless they impose cars on track quotas and decent safety these kind of issue will just increase.

I for one will be planning to go next time during the week as weekends these days are just becoming way to crowded.

I agree. Ring has been going in a bad direction ever since the new administration 3 or so years ago. I've only been driving 6 years and yet can remember the 14 euro lap. Can't believe it's now 24 and set to go up again. Disgraceful. In that time all they've done is built a rollercoaster no one uses through a museum no one visits, near a ferarri sponsored empty hall.

The old musem was great with the indoor karting track and it just seemed so much less automated. Some of the spirit of the track has gone imho.

The buildings are nice but if they destroy the northloop to fund it, or continue to take the micky: Then I can't see anything good coming of this.. Eventually safety groups etc will get their way and then that is the end.

I don't think things have changed..... Ive seen larger accidents at the ring.

Last month a stag do ended in tradegy when a guy from the UK was killed when he was thrown from a rolling Clio.

Its a dangerous place, we all know that. Its always been a nightmare for marshalling. They never used to do it, do they now then?! (On tourist days)

There are more marshals in the car park than out on the track!

if they invested even a small portion to the ring carpark and tourist days what they wasted on that f1 circus it would have create a legacy for years to come.

Prices go up but each year we find overcrowded congested car park. Would help if they put some money into that instead of the fancy ringkart system and damm rollercoaster which last time I heard was broken

It's a risk you take when driving on the ring.

Shit happens. The only thing I'd be surprised about would be if any third party SERIOUSLY expected to get paid after someone had hit them on the ring. It's a case of knock for knock but cock off. You don't want to play by big boys rules stay off the race track.

That's certainly one of the more major accidents. But if you drive there on a week-end and see how crazy and irresponsible some people drive there (i.e. doing 200 km/h with 50cm safety distance in a group of 4 cars or racing each other through bends with marginal safety distance) you can't really be surprised.

During track days there are usually some more reasonable persons there, but on the week-ends it's sometimes really crazy. Also because the differences in speed are much higher, and less people with experience drive around. Some just think because they've got a powerful car they own the track - a big mistake on such a tricky circuit.

Only three weeks ago a Corvette crashed right in front of me about 400 meters further on where the accident happened yesterday. The driver very obviously overestimated his skill serviously, like so many do, and went into the armco at around 140 km/h. I don't pity him at all, it's just luck that no other drivers had to pay for his hubris.

It's got nothing to do with a bad digestion and unwanted gases, you know.

Sorry, I really could not resist.
