C63 vs. JB4 335xi?

My buddy keeps talking trash and i really don't want to race him but might just to get him to be quiet. I'm just wondering if i stand a chance. Last I spoke to him he said his car was stock but now i'm hearing it may have an exhaust. Do i stand a chance with just JB4 and Stett CAI? I'll be running map 5 with an E85 mix probably near 60/40.

If he's stock you will lose by car lengths. If he has a tune or P31 pack you will lose by bus lengths. /thread

Really? I looked up a c63 baseline dyno and they only seem to be pushing out 360-380 whp stock...

Don't believe us? Go run him and learn the hard way. peak numbers are cute but it's power under the curve that is most important.

It depends on if you're running from a roll or a dig. I ran into a c63 last week at a light and it was on a 55mph road. He was a cool guy and he asked if I wanted to run. I told him only till 70 since I'm not big on street racing and he agreed.

I am fbo xi and I had him by about 2 cars at 70mph but he was definitely catching up.

So from a dig with the xi and if you launch solid, you should definitely have him. But if you go from 30mph and more, it's probably in his favor.

That's the response i thought i'd see... It'd probably be from around 30 and because i'm 6spd and my clutch might be on its way out soon idk if i'd launch if it was from a dig... I guess i should just say he's right until i get more mods

You won't beat him with those mods, you need FBO + meth at least to beat him. Sure you might be even with him from a dig because of the AWD, but he'll eventually pass you.

Ya bud, with a going out clutch you might have a hard time. Your best bet would be a 40mph roll in 2nd gear and hope for the best but I think you'll lose by about 2 cars up to 120.

But all that 335 in the video has over me is Downpipes and a charge pipe but charge pipe doesn't have any gains, right?

You could be fully bolted on meth and e85 and you may still lose from a roll. Those xis suck something awful from a roll.

From a dig, who knows.

Ya, a 50/50 mix, I use it more for cooling than power, I run pretty conservative 18psi max and that's with 50/50 e85 mix and meth.

The race was actually pretty easy but that's the advantage of awd. I've run a 12.4 1/4 but am pretty disappointed with that time. I still have kinks to work out on my car.

Yeah you should be in the 11s easy. I ran a 12.3 fully bolted on meth stock turbos with my RWD on street tires.

Ya, I was cutting 1.6-1.7 60s at the track but couldn't break 12.4. My first 1/8th times were pretty solid but I lost something severe on the back 1/8th.

Drivetrain lose ftl.

Very very weak traps.

I had 4 runs. All 1/8th times were 88-91mph in the 7.8-8.0 range. Trap speeds, 109-112mph.

I know I know, don't laugh.

If it wasn't for my 60's, I'd be afraid to see what I'd run.

I have to post some logs, I had throttle closure a few times where it would just cutout and yes I had traction control off.

Hahaha well looks like i'll just take his shit and won't do anything until i get more mods. I didn't know the xi's were that much worse than the rwd's from a roll? Kinda makes me wish i didn't go with xdrive although i know in the winter i'll be glad. On another note a few weeks ago me and my other friend with a 335d JBD and did a roll from 40 and i pulled away pretty decently. Back then i was only on map 1 and he would get a quick jump but then i'd start pulling on him. I think i wound up 1-2 car lengths in front of him although i wasn't really paying attention to how far behind he was.

Challenge him to a race at a dig, let him floor his car and you drive out like a sunday driver You will beat him in his pocket because the C63 drinks fuel the way I drink soda lol

Ya, the d's are better from a dig also, so that is pretty standard that you beat it from a roll since the d has such a small rpm range.

I mean, you can give it a whirl with the c63 but just have a few excuses ready like your johnson rod was loose or your bov was clogged.
