I absolutely love my manual tranny. Don't regret it whatsoever. I changed the shifter to the Bmw oem short shifter which makes a huge difference. You absolutely need to change it. It's really that much better.

Thankx Luwi.
Ya I changed my Angel Eyes and Fogs.
Angel Eyes are Gp Thunder h8 bulb.
Fogs Are Mtec Super White h8 bulb.
Makes a huge difference. Pictures don't justify the actual look in person.

thanks Youyou. I Figured That Those Lights Were Modified And Yesterday I Actually Read That Entire Long Ass Thread About Light Mods On The E92. Saw Your Posts Alot As Well On That Thread ! So I Take Ed Delivery Of My Aw E92 On 3/8 But I'm Excited About These Mods. Looking Through That Thread I Think I'm Gonna Go With Your Combo Of Lights.

Two Quick Questions Youyou:
1) Are Your Lights More Blue Or White Toned In Person?

2) Are They Easy To Install? I'm Not A Mechanical Gal, Not Too Into Mods But The Lighting Is A Must! You Think The Dealership Service Guys Can Pop Em' In For Me?

Thanks!!! :d

How is the short shifter better than the standard shifter - is it easier to shift?
Sorry to go off-topic, I promise to stop after this!

Hey Luwi,
First off the Gp Thunder's for the Angel Eyes have a slight blueish tint to it which gives the perfect amount of contrast with the Xenons.
The Mtec Super White fogs are really white and look much much better then the stock yellow ones.
As for mods im the last person on earth to do anything on my cars. This is actually the first time i do anything on a car. But the few mods i did were in my opinion essential.
The light mod is literally a 15min job and is as aimple as can be. All you have to do is swap out the bulbs and replace them with the new ones.
I didn't do it myself though. Brought it to a friends garage and they did it in 15min. Your Bmw dealer can definitely do it for you and should charge you a max of 30min.

It just feels "tighter" if you know what i mean.
And the actual shifting strokes feel much shorter.
Much better then the standard long one .

AAAARRRGGGHHH!! I just can't make up my mind for which rims I want and I'm running out of time! Here's another set I just found that I'm considering now but they are hyper black rather than silver. Not sure how the hyper black will look with AW. I can't stand black rims so I don't want that on my car, but the hyper black seems to look a bit like dark silver. I guess I would have to see it in person. Anyway, if anyone has any pics of AW with hyper black rims, please post so that you can help me out. Thanks so much in advance and here are the other rims I'm considering now.

Mensah..I like the second set from the top. Those look HOT and I think the dark silver rims would look really nice on AW. Sorry I don't have pics to help ya out BUT your car's gonna look unique and different. PLUS, anything looks good on AW (EXCEPT those black rims you mentioned...YUK)

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I really like those rims, they look sporty and classy. I don't like chrome rims or those that are too elaborate, I think they take away from the beauty of the car. Especially AW! I want it to look clean, classy and unique. Just some wheels and 30% tint and I'll be ready to go. Speaking of tint, I had a 35% mirror tint on my AW 323ci, which was about 2 cars ago. It looked great, the mirror tint pick up the accent of the trim around the front and back windows. IT LOOKED SWEET! I haven't decided if I will do the same on this one yet. Oh well, we'll see. I CAN'T WAIT! LOL! Thanks again.

Hi,

will this thread be renamed AW e92/e93 like some of the other threads have been ??

Have had great pleasure hanging around the AW e90/91 thread before ordering, and when waiting for my AW e91 335ia. Took the car to the dealer on Monday to have the ipod adpter retrofitted, and found myself walking out of there with a signed contract for an AW e93..... April production. Now I need a new place to hang around until the e93 arrives......

One of my other three white babies..... (the other two are grand prix white)

Nice. The hyper black is not as dark as I thought it would be. Those wheels are HOT too. Thanks. Are your windows also tinted?

Those hyperblack rims do look pretty sweet Mensa. I think you should go with your original choice for rim! As for tint...I'm also trying to decide on tint. Not sure if I wanna go 30% or 35%. AND do you have pics of the mirror tint you were talking about on your 323ci? I wanted to see what that would look like. Not sure if I'd wanna get mirror tint on my AW.

Please don't. Mirror tints ruin cars...no matter what they are.

Yeah, after seeing nin's I think the hyper black might be the right move. I think 30% would be perfect because it would be dark enough where you would not see the black outline of the back window. That would look slick. I think I have a picture somewhere. I'll try and find, scan and post it. But might want to stick with the regular dark tint, i'm kind of leaning towards that.

That is carbon fiber for the roundels, they are actually carbon fiber overlays that I bought on Bimmian.com. Gives the car a more unique look, goes well with the gunmetal finish on the wheels.

I think you'll be happy with the gunmetal finish. I'm not a big fan of black wheels or chrome, gunmetal is definitely a good choice for a white car.
