Hey guys, im looking for a good stereo shop in the area. Doesnt have to be the highest end stuff just good stuff. Im thinking like JL Audio type quality. Went to that $1 install place and wasnt impressed with the equipment theyre selling. Dont want to get gouged on pricing of course. Havent decided on install yet whether i want to do it myself or just pay the place (will depend on how much they want). This is for my vette not bmw. Any suggestions?

Also i was thinking about doing carbon emblems on the outside and matte black grill of the BMW, is that easy stuff to change out, havent looked at the car yet but im sure someone here has done it?

i do stereos.... but i don't work on other people's cars. i have a current build underway in the "audio" section of the forum if you want to see.

however, i do know a guy that runs a shop primarily on referral and he does top notch stuff. his shop is called HandCrafted Car Audio. If i didn't do stereo's for myself, he's the only guy I would take my stuff too. DO NOT GET STUFF DONE AT BEST BUY OR AUDIO EXPRESS

So I got quoted $630 to install coilovers... That sounds very high to me... What do you guys think? Oh and that's without an alignment.

It's not exactly a quick and easy task but I know I got quotes in the 450'ish dollar range before we decided just to do it ourselves.

Who gave you the quote?

Beyer Motor Works. So I will be paying $800 (possibly) with an alignment to install a $1200 part... I do understand that it isn't the easiest thing, and if that's what it is... that's what it is, but it doesn't seem right. Do you know a better place around here? Would like to know by Thursday afternoon as I want these installed this weekend.

I vote for big install day at someone's house ... I have changed the springs out twice now on my car (and changed the shocks) .. it can't be that hard.

well, i'm wondering which Bmw dealership is most mod friendly. i purchased from bmw north scottsdale, and didn't like the sales person at camelback, but how are the SA's at these dealerships?

My SA Craig has been pretty cool, again my car is pretty much 99% stock outside of it being lowered ... being CPO I don't want to take any risks

Chapman in Chandler is not mod friendly. Had a hard time getting them to even diganose the car with Dinan.

yeah, i've dealt with craig when i got my tint done there right after i picked it up...

Probably thE weekend bimmerfest kick off in Cali... Definitely will be headed that way..

My sa is Patrick with chapman on camelback... He's been awesome to me...
My 06 325 was a couple months out of it's warranty and he still hooked me up with a free battery once it had died.. And when I went in for suspension work ($3000 worth due to a pothole) It went in with jb3, dci, and a bov.. Nvr heard anything about it?...
I'll be goin back next weekend with just bolt ons and no tune....'damn ses light

Yea i know better than audioexpress and bestbuy. Thanks for the recommendation, if i decide to pull the trigger on paying to get it done ill look them up.

I was just at Chapman last week. Called, dropped it off the next morning, got a loaner, got everything fixed and picked it up the next day. Definitely the easiest dealer visit I've ever had.
