They've cut all their decent flights from Newquay (once did home to a hotel on the Med in under three hours door to door) so that's unlikely anyway.

Always found BA to be very good - and they now take surfboards again.
What more could you ask for!

And the funny thing is (this is a bit surf elitist...!) they only take boards of 6'3" or less - meaning only shortboarders can use them - tee hee!

Not half as gay as not doing ANY sport at all...

I'd like to see you in this barrel Steve A - one wrong move sees you pounded against the seabed without any air for ages. Often with a snapped board. And yes, that's me in there you anal archaeologist...

And don't forget, the chicks love surfers - just in case it escaped you again.

My fitness routine is weightslifting and squash. long distance endurance is a problem for me as in 97 i had 12 compression fractures in my spine and 2 shattered heels. from a 93ft jump off a cliff into basically no sea!! it really fucked me up for a while but im ok now.

On a serious note i have never understood surfing and if you like it as you clearly do, then good for you. mastering any skill will give you a great feeling and the danger elliment definatley adds to that. I have over 30 parachute jumps under my belt, and only understand the rush.

On a less than serious note ive seen a picture of you in a wet suit and believe me it was quite gay.

I guess that was the triathlon pic - running in a wetsuit in trainer is not a manly look...

I used to cliff jump a lot too - but not from 93ft.

But doing stuff like this is always fun and takes a lot of practise to suss out:

And it needs leg strength as well as paddling power - which ain't gay...

Surprised squash is okay with that injury?

Yes i can play squash twice a week and be ok, sometimes my right foot stops working as the tendon running over or attached to the heel pops out of the groove. this clearly can be problematic

Its why i weight train to strenthen the muscles and tendons im good at short burts etc sprinting is ok, however running meduim to long distances just fu&ks me up yet the stairclimber is ok

so triathlons are most definatley out.

jj - very nice just now at Perranporth (nice last night too) and one decent barrel achieved too. Lovely!

Then went for a run just to make sure.

Steve - have you got a decent physio? Just aware that weights could cause trouble. A mate of mine is in a right state with his back after years of overdoing it. He's gone from built like a brick outhouse to a very wide fat bar steward because he can't train any more.

Yes I can do a fair amount. What's this sudden macho BS you are pulling? On another thread you tell us how you will beat up any chav that crosses you.

Grow up or shut up.

Anyway, if I did video it, it would take ages and be a huge file to download. You'll just have to believe me while you then claim you can bench a million tonnes.

You are rapidly turning into a slightly chavvy keyboard warrior.

Me with my little boy a month ago.
Not bulky, just chunky and ideal for lots of press ups/pull ups. And balding. And short. And looking like I'm going for a cr4p. And ugly.

Good job our little one is a super cutey (me, biased?!)

Back on topic - Michael O'Ryanair came across as SUCH a tw4t.

For a start I'd only confront a chav if he provoked me let me get that straight. I know you're on here a lot these days so don't take any attack as personal I do not mean it in the slightest. The chav incident ACTUALLY happened. Not bs'ing you. And in no way am I claiming myself to be a macho in doing so. Why would I need to on a forum FFS?!

One thing I want to call you out on though is the pullup story, as it's in direct relation to my interests. You're saying you can do about 40 pullups with strict form right...I've searched the internet and I have not seen ONE video of this being done with what I'd call strict form, so when someone comes on to a board claiming they can do 40 pullups strict form, I would be EXTREMELY interested to see. What's wrong in that?

It's not hard to put a vid up mate. How many vids on youtube are there?!?

FYI I could bench press around 140kg with a slight spot about a year ago when I took training seriously. These days I can lift 110kg for a couple of reps. I could if you want put this on video and show you and back myself up.

/rant

Again maybe you should question your confrontative manner...

Okay Sikk maybe an over reaction.
I've done 38 max but reckon 40 is possible - overarm (so pull up not chin up), strict form.
Can also do around 150 press ups (strict form) and not yet met anyone who can do a single proper chinese press up - I do 10 as part of my triceps routine.

Never benched a huge amount (150kg but on a machine - had to use a machine because of an old shoulder injury) but always had a good "power to weight ratio"

I hadn't realised 40 pull ups was anything special - maybe I should video it.
