BMW of San Francisco Sucks!!
This dealership sucks!! I bought a pre-owned X-3 from them in May 2007. Then I went back again to try and place an order for a loaded BMW 650 convertible in February 2008 and gave me such a hassle about wanting a credit app and $1500 down. I told them I don't have a problem with the deposit, but I have a problem with the credit app since it becomes another inquiry on my credit report and incase we couldn't come to an agreement on the final price. I refused to give out credit info without having a deal in place and prior to actually seeing the vehicle. Why can't they research through BMW Financials when I told them I have had 10 leases and loans since 2002??? That should trigger them to consider that I have a well establish credit relationship with them already!! Anyways, I ended up ordering my vehicle over the phone without stepping inside the dealership and paying only the $1500 deposit (with no credit check) at Sonnen BMW in San Rafael. They were awesome!! Easy to deal with and earned my business. Car came in, negotiated, and took delivery.
In March while I was waiting for my 650 to come in April (February order), I was on a business trip in Southern California and ended up buying a 2008 BMW 135 Alpine white with only a sport package and navi when they first arrived. I put it on a 2 year lease with Beverly Hills BMW and drove it back to the Bay Area. I just fell in love with the car when I test drove it. Later I realized that I will end up with two Alpine White BMWs. The 650 on the way is also Alpine white. To make the long story short, 6 months later I found that BMW San Francisco had Crimson Red 135, which I wanted to exchange my alpine white for. I tried to work out a deal and trade in my 135 for it (being only 6 months), they didn't even try to help me at all because my lease was too new. They lost my business again for the 2nd time and decided never to even try again in the future!! 2 months later Claridge BMW of Fremont helped me get out of my Alpine White 135 into a Crimson Red that I have always wanted. Quick and simple. You'd think San Francisco BMW would have tried to earn my business again, but not even after obtaining two vehicles in the within 3 months apart. Unbelievable!! Now I know I will want the new 2009 BMWz4 coming out, they sure will not get my business ever! Beware of BMW of San Francisco. I highly recommend Sonnen BMW and BMW of Fremont!

bargaining was simple. when i first walked in they said they would simply beat any price anyone else gives me. and they did just that with 5 different quotes. |

I prefer to go to BMW of Fremont. I've had nothing but great service from them and my SA (Freddie Chang) is great too. Only complaint I have is that one of their mechanics tried to make me feel like an idiot because he thought I didn't know anything about my car. Other than that I would recommend BMW of Fremont.

Yeah I bought my e46 M3 alpine white through East Bay BMW back in 2004. They were great, as a matter of fact I really ended up orginally getting a silver gray m3 a week before I got the alpine white. The general sales manager Larry Maxon helped me get out of the silver gray they sold me and into the what I originally wanted which showed up a week later from when I bought the car and the customer that ordered it backed out or couldn't get approved financing. East Bay BMW, which I had forgotten to mention has great service both sales and service.

BMW of Fremont sucks.... I live 5 miles away and prefer to goto Eastbay ask for Jim Burke or Michael McKee. Best service and they take care of you and unlike fremont they put you in Neons and don't give updates on repairs... BMW of Concord is good as well ask for Bill.

I guess at some point they need to provide some mediocre service once in awhile. But I would never go back after 2 attempts. My only reason was because I live in the city was quicker to get to. I wouldn't even have my car service there either. To each his own!

i also go back there for service. the service adviser kenny is very good. he drives an NSX, and as long as you only tell him to drive the car, he most likely will not scrape it
