Map 2 and Map 3 are the best.

Map 0: Nada
1: 30% Throttle Remaping (T), Performance Tuning On (P On)
2: 60% T, P On
3: 100% T, P On
4: 30% T, P off
5: 60% T, P off
6: 100% T, P off
7: 0% T, P on

I am on Map 1. I kind of like how the stock pedal feels, I just don't like the dead space at the begging. 1 takes care of that.

I run map 2. With a manual transmission and map 3, the throttle is bit too sensitive (for me) for predicable smooth clutch engagement. I ideally would like a map that's in-between 2 and 3, about 75% remapping.

Agreed, Do you have an open CDV? BMS has one for 20 bucks, or you can removed you stock one. Highly recommended.

I was running Map 2, but wanted a bit more throttle response due to my rev matching style, I roughly tap the gas until I'm matched then release the clutch. Also heel toe is easier, but it can be a bitch when daily driving and makes DTC a little more retarded, generally I roll with DTC at 30%. aka push the button, holding the DTC button kills it 100%.

exactly how i feel about it. map 3 is nice but makes the shifting a bit awkward. map 2 preserves the car's original feel but adds life to the pedal

Nope. I had E46s before, been driving manuals with CDV for 10+ years, and have gotten used to it (although I felt like I was retarded when I first got it, I went from a manual 944, and just couldn't shift my first BMW right.)

If very few people are using map 1 -- just a suggestion to Burger, but make the next release of the chip with map 1 with 50% mapping, map 2 75%, and map 3 100%. Map 2 with 75% would be perfect with a manual, and from what I read, map 3 with an auto is ideal.
