having an unhappy experiece buying rims

First, I order the VMR V710s 2 full weeks ago. But the dealer said the rims with offset +45mm is temporarily out of stock. that's not bad at all because I can wait for extra couple days.

the dealer shipped the rims so late, But the UPS make an other delay for my rims again..

every time I try to pick up the rims at UPS(Jane and Steeles), they always made some excuses and I can not get it immediately. That's fine again..

Finally today i got my rims.. But not all, just 3 of them...the driver said there is still on on the way..WTF

he said the shipment was seperate, if i am lucky i can get it today. otherwise next Mon.

I don't know if the dealer shipped it seperately or the UPS did it..But I am really unsatisfied with the UPS's service quality.. Worst shipping company I ever seen..( same experience with my trunk spoiler last time too)

just 3 rims sitting alone..

This happens when they ship 4 individual wheels/tires out.

Last time I ordered from tire rack, two tires arrived first (in one bundle) and the other two tires didn't arrive until a day later.

It is still better than the time where one of my wheel was lost in transit. I mean seriously, how can you lose a friggin wheel? It's huge!

Listen some people have horror stories on here about getting, bent curbed cracked rims, just be gratefull yours are in brand new condition! Smile a little and just know when the other one comes you can just bolt them on and go!

Stack those up in your living room, place a round piece of glass on top and use them as a coffee table all weekend. It will help build the anticipation until the 4th arrives

wait for a day is not bad at all.. But waiting for a weekend is too long..

if i got it on Monday, I can only appreciate it for 3 days

, then 2 month's of vacation in China..

UPS once lost a dining table with 4 chairs I ordered online. Person on the phone said "Sir, It seems that we can't find you shipment in warehouse.". "Fell from the back of the truck" I guess.

Actually, online retailer was very nice and refunded my money next day. Otherwise, I would have waited for 90 days according to UPS policy about shipping insurance.

It's really a hit or miss with UPS when it comes to wheels. I sold my wheels for my 300C just before xmas and the buyer got them within 7 days BUT when I ordered new wheels for my 300C, I got 3 wheels but the other one got "lost". I had to week 4 weeks to get it! My wheel/tire actually ended up on the east coast before I got it.

well i never have bad exp with either fedex or ups
i just got 1 big box from ups and 2 big boxes from fedex just now LOL
the only thing that made me want to use fedex again is they have cheaper rate of brokeage fee and faster clearance shipping.....and you wont have to pay the tax bill right away ...and they will send you the bill later...but the only bad thing about fedex is...they wont let you clear the custom yourself....they will force you to use their broker to clear it for you
bt ups is different
higher brokerage fee (20-40$ difference compare to fedex) have to pay right away
and slower clearance when it comes to customs .....but they do allow you to clear the customs yourself....
