Birds B3 Sport Suspension, 3 months old!

For Sale
Springs and Dampers from the Birds B3 dynamic package.
I fitted the springs in Sept and the dampers in Dec, I've done approx 1000miles with the kit fitted, all receipts available.
My 335D is going back to standard prior to selling.

Plenty has been written about the Birds Kit on here so I won't repeat. Only to say it does do What Birds claim in their literature

£750 inc. delivery

I think so, I did ring Birds couple of weeks ago, springs are different between E91/ 90...etc.

I would be really interested to get this otherwise.

if its just the rear spring rate its not the end of the world. hope the dampers haven't been re-valved differently. My friend has an e91 and he was interested in a set..

I can't see why there would be a difference between e90 and e92. I could believe it may be different for the e91 and e93 due to the extra weight over the back.
I'll try and get a definate answer from Kevin.

Hi Jason,

Are these still for sale?

If so, I have a PDF quote in my inbox from Kevin (I can send it to you if you like) for the kit at £870 new.

Without any intention of causing offence, all suspension components should be considered with care when bought used, so I'd like to suggest that this doesn't offer a large enough discount over the new price for me to commit.

Would you be interested in receiving a sensible and fair offer, which is more in line with what other similar sets (perhaps a few months older) have been sold for on this forum? - Again I can provide proof.

I'd be looking to offer around £600 including delivery, which I realise will feel like a kick to you, but which I believe is fair considering the current new price and that you're selling a part that will traditionally lose more than 50% of it's value after a year.

Judging by your other posts, these may not be off the car yet, so let me also say that I am happy to agree to a deal in principle and to wait if need be. Alternatively, if you haven't removed them yet because you don't have a buyer, I would be willing to pay a deposit in order to secure the deal and to give you confidence that you could undertake the work knowing you had a reliable buyer.

Thanks
Matt

In the interest of fairness, I've just noticed Kevin's quote didn't include VAT, so I will up my offer to £650!

Regards
Matt

Matt,

Please can you send a copy of this quote, I'd be interested to know why I had to pay £400 more! (I'll PM my email)

The suspension is now off the car and ready for immediate delivery.

Thanks for your offer, I'll have a think and get back to you.

I think it's just that the 3.5 includes the ARB's basically.

That is from memory though.
