What has been the experience of the new Doomsday maps?

All of this talk about the Proceed Rev 2 and the likely V3.2 maps has me excited, but there has not been a lot of talk about the Doomsday maps and limitations.

I currently have a laggy 29.2 car, running Stage 0 Doomsday, non-Beta V 3.0 Maps.

In users' opinions, Is it worth it to swtich to the 11/14 Beta's or are they going non-Beta anytime soon? Or should I just stick it out until V3.2 comes out?

Thanks for any input...

Yes. Switch to the 3.1. You'll be thrilled. Especially if you have a laggy car. The 11-14 maps are very smooth and responsive. 3.2 may not be released for a couple weeks or longer.

Version 3 is much better and more friendly to your vehicle.
IMO, you'll be much happier with the version 3.
This is especially if you do not have a boost guage.

Man... The difference between the 3.0 maps and the new 3.1 w/ lag and rattle fix is NIGHT AND DAY. Go switch and report back!

Update--I loaded Beta 11-14 Maps

Okay, at everyone's enthusiastic prompting, I updated to Beta 11-14 maps.

I added the Doomsday Stage 0 with lag fix active. My car is significantly smoother and the wastegate noise is almost completely gone!! I can still hear a little bit of rattle, but quite improved.

I am roasting tires in 1st gear, makes it hard to shift before I bouce off the rev-limiter. In terms of raw power it seems faster to the butt dyno, hard to tell.

I am dying to try the V3.2 maps...Any time line on that??

Important question, I loaded the Map 2 is 100 octane, have not tried it yet, but is the map 1 the "new throttle" mapping as in the map1=map2 setting??

thanks

The new stuff (not sure if we'll call it v3.1 or v3.2) will be released next weekend at the PROcede Taste Test Day. After that, we'll get the ball rolling on email updates. Customers will have to email us their serial number and we'll email them back the firmware and maps

As for your current map where Map2 is 100oct, both Map1 and Map2 have the same throttle response settings. The only difference is that map2 has revised timing and IAT compensation tables. Just add race gas, raise the UT and let 'er rip. A properly set-up car (full exhaust, intakes, IC, drag radials) in decent conditions should be able to hit 11s.

Glad you like the 11-14 beta maps. The new stuff we're testing right now is considerably better in many respects

Cheers,
shiv

Thanks for the info

Great job on the software Shiv. Here is the next question. Is there anyway to get my procede serial number without having to open and remove the unit itself? Is it on an invoice somewhere?

Thanks

Yes, through the reader software under the Comm menu option.

Shiv,

You probably don't want everyone emailing you their serial numbers at this point (I think you stated that previously), since it will be a short while after the Taste Test Day before you would start sending out the updates.

Is it safe to assume you'll start a new thread when it's time for us to send our serial numbers and email address?

Cheers!
