question about installing akebono pads

This weekend I will be installing Akebono euro brake pads.

My question is:

Should I use aftermarket anti-squeal (CRC Disc Brake Quiet)
or the Moly Brake lube that comes with the pads?

I bought the CRC stuff (Red). I had the damnedest time putting the pads in though, they're so snug. I have not heard a single sound from my breaks since doing it. Same pads.

I don't normally use the thermal paste that comes with cpu fans, as it's garbage most of the time. I apply the same logic to stuff included with auto parts.

I just did mine Akebono euro front and rear this past weekend, and use the lube that came with the pad. They are quiet, no issue so far.

The red CRC goop is easier to install because it dries. Found the silver goop provided with Akebono pads to spill everywhere and be annoying. I'm sure it works just fine if you are careful when installing the pads.

There is nothing special or some secret hidden recipe for making the stuff even better... Just use what came with it..... It works that's why they include it.

Thanks for everyones input.

This is what CRC has to say

Thank you for your interest in CRC products. We would recommend using Synthetic Brake Caliper Grease for your shimmed brake pads. Disc Brake Quiet is ment for usage on non-shimmed brake pads. The Brake Quiet's tackiness will cause the shimmed pad to not work properly. Addtionally the Synthetic Brake Grease will cut down on corrosion on the brakes.

I used the moly lube that came with the pads, It was a very very small amount but if your careful you can make it last.

1000 miles and no noise.

Thanks again.
