Is it normal my car idle rpm is ar 1000 when starting and goes down to 600 rpm after a couple of minutes?

yes. The initial start up rpms are at 1000 to start warming up your catalytic converters. Catalytic converter is only effective when warm

Normal rpm is around 600.

When you are at 600 rpm idle that also means that you can use WOT, because the car is warm.
