I have never really been a huge fan of the stock matted silver looking tips on the 335i. I was not sure of what route to go... Full exhuast? Tips? Nothing? Quads? I had toyed with the idea of quads, but ultimately hacking the stock bumper to use them was not worth it to me. In my opinion, angled cut tips look so mean and now that Cyba had a chrome angled cut double walled tip for a very good price I decided to make the jump. I simply think it is rediculous that some vendors are charging $200 for exhaust tips!!!

Quality

The tips came wrapped and packaged very well. There was not a scratch or mark anywhere on the tips. Clearly there was care taken to make sure a quality product made it to my door step and it do.

Installation

The tips are advertised as direct fit for the 335i. That means to me that the inlet is perfect diameter and the tip fits evenly in the bumper. So we started the installation and cut off the stock tips. We grabbed the new CYBA tips and lined them up. The inlet was perfect and the 3.8" diameter tip fit perfectly in the bumper. We then cut off the excess part of the inlet on the new CYBA tip that was not needed and welded them on. Quick and easy.

Results

I am really quite pleased here. The tip size is perfect for the stock bumper. The double walled tip is absolutely necessary for a stainless steel chrome tip because it maintains the shine of the tip from almost any angle (see pictures). The angle cut works extremely well with the stock bumper. Overall I am very please with the product. I am glad I didn't waste $2000 for a stock exhaust that produces 5 rwhp or tips that cost $200 because they state these are specifically made for the 335i. The CYBA tips are specifically made for the 335i and cost half the price. It is an easy choice.

actually cyba's quads did change the sound of my exhaust. In fact the exhaust drones so much my gf asked if I had purchased a new exhaust. It also burbles when you let off the throttle ALOT more than when it was STOCK...

Wierd? Pics are shot on a very good Nikon SLR! I am quite particular about detailing, so I think what you are seeing is a freshly buffed car that shows the reflection off the driveway very well.
