New to the forum! advice for future mods?
Im new to the forum, from bay area. although i have been creeping on it for some time just browsing through it. It seems as though the best performance mods are to do the euro box, catback exhaust with secondary cats removed and aa tune with 3 stage manifold. am i missing anything? besides headers which seem to be $$ . anyways heres a pic of my ride, 2009 328i. I already have all my cosmetic mods in progress or planned. just want to know what other performance mods are out there for these cars.

Should have taken some pics with the headlights on to show off those led's heh.. As far as performance for the N52's I don't think there's much else other than what you've mentioned. I think the AA tune and the 3-stage will net the biggest improvements so prioritize those I guess. What exhaust are you planning on? I'm ordering my PE sometime this summer I hope

I think i plan to go with magnaflow, it sounds pretty good form what ive heard, and for the price its hard to beat, i can get it for about 800. the bmw pe runs at least a grand. my budget for everything is to be under 10 grand. Im pretty sure this should be easy to do. after all there are not too many tuning capabilities for non aspirated cars. But coming from an audi a4 1.8 t. i wanted to try something different haha

I would look in to: M3 Front sway bar, M3 Control arms, maybe a strut brace(Gains are debatable) and Coilovers or shocks and springs. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=797297

I was just suggesting them, as you were looking for performance mods and I consider these performance mods.

Welcome to the forums and i'm jealous of your car color but what you mentioned is pretty much on point also M3 Control Arms & new suspension will make a huge difference and are more reliable then the stock ones since the stock bushings tend to wear out early.
Intake, Exhaust, Headers, 3 Stage IMC, AA Tune and your done with your engine mods. You'll be around 330i base horsepower. |

Thanks for the advice guys. I appreciate it. If I decide to do all of those mods minus the headers. Should I still accept baseline power of 330i? I want to get rid of the rft but rims will most likely come later. I want dpe

If you buy them brand new I think it's around $700-900, if refurbished/used i'm guessing around $300-600 depending where or who you get it from.
