Anyone install NBT Screen with NBT Retrofit?
I was looking at retrofitting NBT but I love how fluid and intense the displays are... Anyone install the actual screen on their dashboards?

You have to use the NBT CID display with an NBT retrofit, but it has to be modified and put into the E9x CID housing. It won't work with the CCC or CIC CID displays.
Or do you mean install it like the F30x with the display sticking out of the dash like that instead of fitted to the E9x housing?

I don't think I've seen that done since it looks more OEM when you put it into the E9x CID housing. It would require cutting into the dashboard to try to mount it.

Yes i have the same type of question. is it possible to actually retrofit the new style head unit into an e9x without cid housing. I know it would involve cutting the the dash but has anyone attempted it? For example avin have a android version which you can purchase for the newer cars for 699 dollars.
https://avinusa.com/bmw-3-series-f30...on-system.html Or is it not worth the hassle trying to fit this in an e9x and best to use the CID housing with the NBT retrofit? |

Personally I miss my E90's "tunnel" Glare is a problem on the F30's nav screen, and since it's exposed there's more opportunities for the anti-glare coating to get scratched.
It may look more modern, but the tunnel in the E90 was definitely better from a usability standpoint |
