E92 M Sport seats
G'day everyone,
Can someone please tell me if when you tilt the front seats forward to let someone in the back, do the seats slide forward automatically & then back to original position when you tilt the seat back? Thanks in advance. |

No. To stop babies from getting caught in between the back of the seat and the door frame, you have to move the seat manually with the button on top of the seat back..

the manual button back and forward does remember where the seat was. you can go past that memorised spot.

Not to mention that it's embarrassingly slow. Always reminds me of the scene from Austin Powers where the steam roller is coming at him.
On the convertible, when you tilt the seats forward the head rest retracts (and vice versa). |

my e93 crushes rear passengers legs. Here's how:
1. I arrive at my friends house to pick up two passengers. Engine off, seat is tilted forward for easy access to rear seats. 2. I try to get into the car to take off. So I adjust seat for rear passenger comfort and also try to be far away from the steering wheel as possible to avoid getting cramped because I have long legs. 3. As soon as i hit the start engine button, the memory seat adjuster pushes the seat back to original position and crushes the rear passengers legs. Happens too quick to stop the action. Happens every single time. Basically when the memory seat is adjusted, if you play with it and then start the engine, it puts it back to it's memorised setting which can be damn annoying for rear passengers. I think the solution is to keep the engine running while picking up additional passengers. |

lol! ahahahah true, I learnt that the hard way. Reminds me of a journey I had when I had my e46 back in 2008. I picked up four girls from chapel street to give them a lift, exactly how you described. As soon as I picked them up, tables turned. Was on 1 point for the whole year and there was two days left to gain all my points back. (Now I regret leaving the house that night). Got stuck behind a car that was going through the red light, mind you it's a 40 zone and I was doing less than walking speed. I got delayed behind a car and ended up passing at a red light. Four cops that were walking and governing the crowd saw me on the spot and I ended up getting a fine and lost my license. I felt like the biggest loser in the world ahahah!
