if the seat mat is working properly and there in NOONE sitting in the passenger seat then passenger air bags will NOT deploy only drivers.. but when you trick the mrs to think there is alway passenger all airbags will deploy...

So basically you are taking out the function of sensor mat with this coding?
Who would like to confirm this by crashing his car :P?

I am trying to code E90 06 sedan to turn off occupancy sensor.
I am attaching MAN files. OC3 values are already not active, so I am not sure which one should be truned off. I have also used NCS dummy and it did not give me any indiciation of occupancy sensor. Any help?

i have the same problem, a friend of mine uses INPA and he hooked it up to my car, the Oc3_1 is already set at not active.
Do i have any other options, other than having to pay out for a occupancy sensor bypass? |

And OC3 is off, airbag codes cleared? That did the trick for me. |

i'm seeing two other codes here though: AIRBAG_BEIFAHRER_1 and AIRBAG_FAHRER_1 could these be related? EDIT: crap... i need that thing unplugged? Will it go away immediately after that or do i need to unplug the battery or something for things to reset? Last edited by N0OS3; 11-21-2012 at 12:09 AM.. |

i'm having problems getting rid of the error code(s) from this module.
I unplugged the module, nicht_active the OC3 codes, and tried to remove the error memory with INPA.... but it keeps coming back. I'm thinking i need to disable the seatbelt, airbag, and other checks as well... can anyone give some insight? |

seems like everyone has a different experiences but I just want to get somethings straight... I am reading through the following thread to help me get read of the seatbelt/airbag light for my passenger seat (my odbII cable is on its way but I'm trying ot educate myself as muc as possible): http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=coding+airbag
Before I begin with the "test functionality with INPA" & using NCS Expert, should I have already disconnected the wire under my seat?

The method mentioned above DOES NOT worked. I have tried on few cars and TBH it did not work on any car.
Search on ebay for something to deactivate. In UK forums, one guy bought for E90 (£50) and it worked. The other option is to swap your front seat if you can find one from from the breaker. And that works out cheaper.

I have INPA working but cannot do an airbag check. Both the airbag and selt belt warnings are on my dash and I want to fix them.
Do I need to go to the dealer to diagnose? I was hoping INPA would give me the reason why they are on and I could fix them myself. I would prefer to fix the problem instead of coding the errors out.

if you put new seats from porsche,we can consider that you install something like performance seats, now what should you do is to add in VO +RECA and code airbag module, that will disable everything neccessary to turn off airbag lamp and everything will work just fine,

Not really. Performance seats still have side airbags which the porsche seats will not.
So the ABG module will still be looking for side airbags if you retrofitted +RECA in. |
