I received and installed my LUX V3 lights, and am very happy with the result. Easy install in my '12 e91, just removed the air cleaner. They seem very high quality, I just hope for longevity.

I have had them installed for 1 WHOLE DAY, and so far so good. Installing was a bit sketchy cause they are bigger and its a tight fit, but once they are in your done. Build quality seems very good, all connections seem solid. When I unlocked my doors to go to lunch I was very happy with the performance. Today was a bright yet overcast day and they looked awesome. I also drive by some windows to see my self......they are bad ass . That was my elementary review lol. Ill have to post back in the coming months on the longevity but I would imagine these things are pretty reliable. I was torn between the Lux which are great from what I have heard but I though for the money I would give these a try. I got a 2nd set for my pre-lci e90 as well which I haven't installed but being that I needed 2 sets I decided to get the HPBs. I would recommend these and I would also say I appreciate good service and Jeff@TopGearSolutions was great to deal with!
Thank for the pics! Enjoy!

Just got the new LUX 180 in the mail. Installing it over the WeissLicht LED version. Attaching photos for comparison; the left side is the new LUX with the Weisslicht on the right (obviously the 180 is whiter), and bright enough making it hard to focus between both. I am not sure which one I like better yet..

Too bad you didn't have a chance to take pictures in the daytime. That would help make everything much more clear and easy to see a comparison between the two.

I Appreciate ALL Admins. from ALL enthusiast Forums. It’s a thankless job, I’m sure. I am new to my E92, probably older than most members, and NOT Trying to be an AHole

However, for a Thread to be a Sticky, shouldn’t their be a way to (permanently ?) image host ? Page after page after page here, with MANY pics not even showing ... At All. Just for my own understanding, if you will ....

Also, Admin REPEATEDLY asked for comparison pics to be SAME ANGLE, SAME ambient LIGHTING, SAME ‘Stage of Illumination’. What I mean by last point is, what sort of comparison can one make if one pic has AEs illuminated (ONLY), and the next comparo pic has AEs + HL on ?!?

Is it just cuz I’m a grumpy old fart, or is there an absence of poster common sense ?

I ended up going with the LUX 180; they show much better in the day time.

And Photobucket has ruined forums everywhere with their recent business model change. 8/10 people hosted their embedded photos via PB

LUX E90 LCI Halogen V3

I purchased these after reading comments from the board....

they look great at night but there is not much difference during the daytime vs. the factory angel eye bulbs' brightness...u can't really see them during the day....

have been using them for a month now and no issues so far...

Cannot for the life of me get the LUX 180's installed on my E92 2010 model... Are headlight interiors different for EU or something? I don't understand how others can fit it so easily. I tried everything, it just doesn't fit.
The black heat casing of the LUX goes against the plastic housing as far as possible, tried all angles while the glass LED cover sits at angle that is so sharp so that I can't slide it in, only the tip is in a little bit, but cannot slide it in further. I tried all possible angles, I fiddled with it for like 45min. I'm done lol.

Do you have an LCI E92 that already has white angle eyes, or the older model that has the yellowish angel eyes? If its the older model then heres a tip. Lower the light into the headlight with the LED end facing upwards by holding the glass and the wires for support. Then angle the glass into the opening and using the wire gently lift it into place.

I don't have the white OEM angel eyes, or I wouldn't have bought the LUX. I have halogen orange/yellow lights. My car is an LCI though, I have LCI tail lights and when I search my VIN number it also shows LCI. Also my BMW manual shows an LCI model on the cover.

And I tried that, I watched the video on your website by the guy with the white M3. I also looked at the pdf E92 guide. When I lower the housing in first and try to guide in the glass, I cannot get the angle so that it slides in, the black heat casing sit furthest against the plastic housing of the car lights.

The Lux H8 180 are for LCI e90s with Xenon headlights? The housing for Xenon vs Halogen are the same?

Do the pre-LCI E92 models have this plastic cover also in their E92 headlight housing? It's because of this marked in the red circle I cannot sink the LUX's deep enough to get it into the headlight.

Alright, I actually managed to install these LUX by removing the internal and external connectors of the headlight. Not quite the way the LUX guides show it but it worked.
Marked in red circle is the internal housing connector, but needed to remove the outside connector first.

Hi,

not sure if I need to reply here, but has anyone experience issues with either LUX or HPB with uneven output, or wiring harness being messed up after update (probably due to strong outputs)

Thanks

not sure what you mean by this. LED bulbs draw mcuh less power than the stock actually, not more. If you have our lights an are having an issue with them please send me a PM or e-mail and we can help out more as well.
