very nice... basically the same thing as the slingshot just a little wider. what did that set you back? when i get my 70-200 2.8L I might need to upgrade to fit the lens

the bag was like 100 or 125 at the most. not to costly at all. no matter how i swing it, its a hell of a lot cheaper than any bag my wife buys, so she cant complain at all

i ended up getting the fastpack 350. a bit big, but i can carry my lap lop with me easily if i need it. also for longer day trips, i can put lunch in there as tons of other shit. for shorter walks, the side opens like the slingshot, you just have to take out your right arm. at first i thought it would be a PITA. after 2 weeks in thailand, i realized it was no problem at all.

heres a link to it.

hey I stopped by a camera shop today... the fastpacks look pretty nice. I might go pick one up myself when i get the 70-200. I think the 200 or 250 will work out nicely.

go for it, they are great. what other lens do you have now? if its another 77mm filter size and has some bulk, go bigger. take your current lens and camera body with you and ask the guy in the store to see how it all fits with the 70-200 in it.

yeah, I have a 50mm 1.8, 28-135mm 3.5-5.6 IS and a 16-35mm 2.8L plus a speedlight 430EX and a light meter. I stuff it all into my slingshot 200 right now and it fits but I know I'll need something with some length for the 70-200mm when I get it along with the 2x extender and macro filter. The Fastpack 200 looked like it might fit it all.

Just bought the Lowepro SLINGSHOT 100 for $50.46! and i'm about to pick up a new lense, most likely a 50-200mm vr lense since i've been wanting one for a while.

I know this is kinda a dead thread but I use a Flipside 300 Lowepro. It can hold a Canon XTi with 50mm f/1.4 or 1.8 on it with a 70-300mm and a Speedlite 430EX II. On top of that I can fit my macbook in it, too. I can carry the kit lens or I can throw in my other speedlite and the transmitter to use for off camera. It works really well for what I do.

Wow this is a pretty old thread...

But anyways, I got the medium size one in black. I kind of regret it cause it's SO BIG and I'm a SMALL GUY so it's like the same size as me...but at least it holds everything and then some.

I really want the S size though. Way too late to exchange it. Wonder if Glazer's will take it as a used item and exchange it for a small?

Heh, I bought the Medium Black/Olive at Glazer's, and I like it. My one major complaint is the weight of this thing. But the Medium was necessary to fit my laptops. The Small just wouldn't work at all.

So far, the Tenba has been to Anchorage and Honolulu. With just the following, it weighs in at 25 lbs...
D300 body with MB-D10 grip (2 en-el3e batteries)
18-200 VR lens
SB-600 flash (12 AA batteries total)
Lenovo Thinkpad
Laptop power adapter
various battery chargers
Garmin Nuvi 750
The small misc. stuff that makes its way into your bag....

In all, NOT a lot of stuff, but a lot of weight. I think the bag empty weighs almost 10 lbs.

The weight of the bag itself is also a problem for me. It comes from the padding of the bag; at least I know that weight is doing some good like protecting my camera!
