looks sick! you should wrap the little aluminum piece on the shifter as well... i bet the suede would feel nice in the palm of your hand anyway.

I had some suede left over from previous wrappings. I was afraid how the tight corners on the switches hole would turn out so i just left it alone.

there's alcantara you can buy, i've done it last year:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=556878

there's only 1 place in the state sells it, http://www.gulffabrics.com/
i got mine from them, and they are the real alcantara so it is not fading or nothing. it was kinda pricey $100/yard is the trade off

How did you remove the steering wheel trim? I'm tired of my cf and always liked the alcantara look but was afraid of fading/damaging the material. I may look into another type of fabric, depending on the color/pattern I find. Leather maybe?......hmmm......

it easy, you just need to take off the three screws behind the wheel. If you look behind it you will see there is one on the left, right, bottom. Once I took those off I took off the trim starting from the top. you will need to unscrew the little wheel control boxes once you take off the trim. You will see. If you do it post some pics, would be cool to see something else too
