325i easy intake mod

325i e93 intake mod- just removed the intake housing top cover on a stock euro intake, much louder and growls, everything is stock besides PBX powerbox.

You will be taking in some more hot air but its still covered around the sides only the top is exposed, much better than exposed pod filters. Performance isn't really a factor to consider on a e93 325i, 160kw trying to pull 1760kg hmmmm. I didn't not notice any difference in performance.

i wouldn't agree with this mod... first off, we don't have EURO intake on US spec cars... the housing is completely different... is about $400 for us (you can get from ECStuning for $409)... also, by taking the cover off, you're taking away most of the vacuum formed from having a closed-box intake... but... if you feel that it's more efficient because it's louder - by all means, do it. lol

besides, the reason why it's "louder" is because you are taking away the effectiveness of the "intake muffler" as per RealOEM.com... so by taking the lid off, obviously it's going to be louder. LINK
