TPMS Disable with Coding: Possible?

I just invested in INPA cable and looking in to coding.

I don't have TMPS insider the tires on my E90 anymore. I want to disable the ambler warning light on the dash. When I search around, it looks like it's impossible to do this via coding alone? I need to buy a special module to fool the system?

Thanks in advance.

There are several threads on this. You need to both physically disable (unplug) the RDC module and make the code changes.

Try this
Remove $2VB from VO
Pull the fuse for TPMS
Unplug module in trunk.
Code Kombi: rdc_alive

FA Write dsc, Kombi, and nfrm

Let me know if this works.

Only caveat, if you have Nav, you can't pull the fuse since it shares the same circuit.

You need to either unplug the RDC module or take out its fuse, doing both is not necessary.

Did you do the coding? If you did, go back over the coding steps now that the fuse is pulled. Especially make sure $2VB isn't still in the VO.

I successfully removed the TPMS warning. Have you figured it out?

I did this:

http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1145078

And it worked pretty well. It wasn't exactly the same stuff, but if you use your head, you'll be able to figure it out.

can't you just code TPMS off in the DSC module (MK60 for E82)?

There are settings in there for TPMS monitoring as well as brake pad wear monitoring...

You need a couple more things than that. The Kombi, CIC and DSC need to be coded, and you need to change the VO.

From the link I posted:

2) Code OUT $2VB and ADD IN $265 in the VO.

3) Change the following codes in CIC, KOMBI, and XDSC:
CIC: RPA_CIC
aktiv
CIC: RDC
nicht_aktiv
CIC: RDC_SAFETY
nicht_aktiv

KOMBI: RDC_ALIVE
nicht_aktiv
KOMBI: MMI_ENA_RPA_RDC
aktiv
KOMBI: RDC_VERBAUT
nicht_aktiv
KOMBI: DSC_MIT_RPA_CC
aktiv
KOMBI: RDC_DISP_SWITCH
nicht_aktiv

XDSC: AUSSTATTUNG_RPA
aktiv

And that was it. Then you can go into the status menu. If you go to the Flat Tire Monitoring System tab, it should see there is an error. Just go to the 2nd tab and reset it. Then you should see green in all corners.

Seems to me like the extra coding you are doing is only necessary because you are also physically removing the sensors and modules too...

Ill try what you posted and see where I get.

Highlight $2VB and press delete on your keyboard, then OK. If you're '07 I think you have FTM instead of TPMS though.
