So i decided to just paint the roof and chrome trim of my e90 rather than using vinyl and wanted to post a few pics for you all interested to see the end result. if you are thinking about doing this i would say to just go ahead and do it.

Also a few pics with a f30 to compare a modded e90 to a stock f30. excuse the oversize crappy pics.

Looks fantabulous. Paint's always better than vinyl, just prepare to redo the trim in a year or two

damn redo, that sucks... i think if i get to that point i will just bite the bullet and buy the OEM gloss black trim but hopefully i wont have to do that since my car is always garaged and its not a DD.

Looks good, I must admit the e90 looks so much cleaner than the F30. (even in stock form)

Yea from what I have heard, just make sure you are easy on the trim when you wash it and it'll last alot longer. Garaged is even better

Thanks, Yes it seems that way but to be fair that f30 is bone stock, i remember thinking the same when i had my e46 and the e90 came out.... but wait, i still like the e46 over the e90

Looks hawt!

Curious what it cost to paint the roof and trim vs doing a wrap. What did you body shop charge?

Very nice, very clean. I love the fact that all your mods are done to accentuate the natural look of the car, not just for the sake of modding. Awesome job!

Thanks man, my friend did the work for very cheap. $300 for the roof and trim. I think i could have spend nearly the same having someone do the vinyl and since im keeping the car for the long run it was a no brainer for me.

the only thing is the color of the sideskirts, not sure if its the lighting but it seems a little bit off.
