Yep I have one and love it. N52 330i
I doubt that tesco fuel would do any damage to the injectors. Lets be honest it's not good news for the company if it messes up BMW injectors just think of the loss in sales if it ever got onto the news....because i can promise you the zillions of mums, and mail readers with their 116's and 318's would instantly go somewhere else. Just think of how quickly the fixed that problem they had where it was causing the injectors to fail on vauxhalls a few years ago, less than 24hrs i think. I love my 330 I'm planning on it being the last car i own till i have to get shot of the coupe for practicality reasons, because i'll be angry if a future kid of mine ever threw up in her. Tbh i might just keep her and get a cheap runabout when the time comes....just tell the missus I sold it. |

Got a n52 e90, love it, only issue is current and the smell of fuel after brimming the tank, seems to be a fairly common problem and by the looks of things not difficult to cure.

I have a 330ise on a 2005. Bought it a year ago with 19k on the clock for £8995. Great car. Quick, refined , comfy, sporty when you want it to be. Not bad on fuel. 27mpg average. Should be reliable as less to go wrong then the diesels. Plan to keep for a number of years

I've got an E91 330i with 335 exhaust conversion. Sounds sweet.
I used to run Tesco 95 until the car started to splutter a wee bit, 99Ron didn't help much but either Esso or Shell seem to have worked... |

I can still remember buying my '56 plate E92 330i and the sound it made as the sales guy hurled it around the carpark at the dealership so I could 'hear it yell' as he put it.
As it had only 12 miles on the clock and the engine was cold, I wasn't best pleased, but it did sound awesome! My current 3.5 V6 sounds great, but the 330i was something else.

Check
330i slightly quicker than the [untuned!] 330D. It is also lighter, smoother and not far off in terms of MPG - given the difference in cost between petrol and diesel, difference is negligible. A mate has a 245BHP 330d auto - very impressive engine in its own right. In normal day-day driving the 330D feels quicker, however the 330i is better when being pushed. ..the irony of this is that I probably drive the 330i around slower than I did my old E46 320d (tuned - 184BHP). The real ace of the 330i is that it can cruise around in limo like smoothness and refinement, but can be knocked down 2 or 3 gears and it rips up the road and it snarls like a baby M3 up to 7,000 rpm. Love it! |
