PS3 Killzone2 - avoid

I made the mistake of picking it up impulsively.

And it is UTTER GASH. Clumsy frustrating controls, limited field of view, confusing locations/objectives ...

Binned.

Waste of money.

I got the COD games when I was back in the UK. In a completely different universe compared to the turgid Killzone2.

Online with COD is manic !

No idea. Haven't seen/played the demo.

Just feels turgid. I can't aim. Like there is a huge weight on your back, little adjustments do nothing - bigger ones and you point somewhere else. Gets boring and annoying VERY quickly when you can't shoot anything.

Just checked the reviews and they seem to like it.

I actually quite liked Killzone1.

I had problems with the demo till I changed the sensitivity of the movement - might be worth a try mate - I had to up it to %80

Always a bummer when money is spent on entertainment that turns out to be crap. I generally play PC games, but a good mate has a PS3. Have to say that for accuracy and skill, the mouse and keyboard pwnes consoles on FPS games, but the consoles are superb for driving games.

Having been burnt by impulse buys I tend to rely on reviews and mates these days. COD, Crysis, FEAR, Half Life 2 and episodes, Far Cry and Bioshock are all superb FPS games that get it right! Currently toying with Far Cry 2. Open verdict at the moment.

I would also have to say avoid this game. Totally unrealistic in terms of movement which has already been said. I stick to cod as they are the best FPS around. I'm torn between cod 4 and world at war, can't decide which is better.

Don't quite understand how you can aim on the PS3 or xbox anyway.

Whole point of FPS on the PC is mouse aiming.

Its surprising how you adapt to the analogue sticks - I game on console and PC, I've got the hang of the sticks after a few years! I even prefer the 360 pad for some PC games.

I agree, aiming on a pad is frustrating compared with a mouse, but the ease of just picking up a game (renting or buying) is too much to resist.

I'm a COD fan too... thanks for the headsup on KillZone, saw the ad this morning and thought it looked ok, I'll be steering clear!
