Boy from Ireland Lucky devil ! I don't know him personally.

He has brought a few over to our Scottish Show, and will probably be there this year too (along with a few other special cars, on and off the track).

His RS1800 is minty.

All lovely. But deep down I'm more of a MK1 guy myself, closest I have come to MK2 ownership is recreating them digitally.

D.

Do you think they'd swap that Mexico for one of my kids? Always wanted one of those, but not as much as a Mk1 Mexico!

My brother had a white MK II RS2000 with black vinyl roof - wonderful. I had a 1.6 John Player Special Capri at the time (MkII) and he scoffed at me about Capris. He was on holiday in England with his mates that year and a Mk I Capri came down onto the motorway in front of him from a slip road. The passenger put his arm out the windows and made a catch me up gesture. My brother was in the back seat whilst one of his mates was driving the RS2000 and he screamed at him to get the "B".

They were already doing about 80 and his mate floored it. All they saw was the back end of the Capri hunch down and it disappeared into the horizon!

Ruined his holiday! When asked what kind of Capri it was all he could say was that it was green with stripes and had a big black sticky up thing on the boot - I had to explain what "RS3100" meant.

And we sometimes 'worry' whether or not the wheels fill the wheel arches enough lol.

Superb collection and serves as a reminder about how old some of us are who remember seeing some of these Ezzies on the road at the time.
