Honda F1 Team Saved !
Just got a text from a mate who knows a few people, who know a few people, who know a few... oh you get the idea...!
"The former Honda Raing F1 team is officially now Brawn GP Limited. The press releases will not go out for a couple of hours but the team are being informed right now. Honda approved the management buyout and the team will race in Melbourne" Really good news, I was starting to think everyone at Honda Racing would be out of a job... this is just what we need right now... some GOOD BLOODY NEWS !!! PS: Hmmm.... wonder if I should post this on a forum ???? |

That's great news. I'll wear my Honda jacket with pride at the BMW meet this weekend!

When Honda was serious about F1 (83-92) they had a great motor and a great team with McLaren-Honda and teammates Senna & Prost. I mean, when you win 15 of 16 races in the 1988 F1 season, what else is there to prove. Even though Honda started supply motors again to F1 teams in 2000 they haven't really been serious in F1 ... more in IRL.

Well I was lucky enough to borrow an NSX for a week and it was amazing. I've also had a few Honda Fireblades, so I do have a soft spot for the marque.
It would certainly be a really tough call to choose between my M3 and a Long Beach Blue NSX if I had the funds! Matt |
