Wanted: Cheapo laptop

Thought i would ask for a friend as her daughters laptop has gone kaput and she needs something to keep her going for the next few weeks to do schoolwork on.

Budget around £100 - so if you have anything knocking about that you want to get rid of let me know!

Nothing special needed, something with windows is pretty much the only spec needed.

I have an acer with windows vista in good condition.
17 inch screen,wifi,I think it's 4gig but minimum 2 gig ram,DVD writer and wireless mouse as touch lad ok but buttons not good.
Battery not hold charge for long but everything works and pretty fast laptop.
Â£100 delivered if any good

That sounds a very good maybe.... when u say buttons not good, can u use the keypad as a 'click' instead of pressing buttons?

Yes if you tap the touchpad it is same as pressing left mouse button.
It's 4 gig memory to confirm and 160 gig hdd

any idea of model number - you know what kids are like 'but what does it look like' is bound to happen!

I have a HP 6710B - available for £90 and a HP 6730B for £140.

Both fully functioning perfectly - PM if you are interested and I can send you further info.

Just buy a new basic one for £250, will be a false economy in the long run to buy a used one.

Hi mate, selling my HP 6735s 2.4ghz, 4gb ram, 256mb graphics, DVDRW, built in web cam, has office on etc for school work, in vgc £110 delivered.
