WTB: 335is DCT

Currently shopping for my next vehicle. May be moving to an Audi S4.. unless a nice 335is comes along so let's see what you have.

Must have DCT, iDrive.

I wouldn't jump into another 335 if I were you. The 335is is nothing special, your 335 in manual was probably more exciting. The DCT slips too easily even with a mild tune.
Get a M3.

I have a FBO with meth 335IS DCT and I love it.
so far its been good to be at 112k kms.
I believe its the same DCT as the m3 but the n54 makes more torque so that could be what will cause it to slip

No not really, the difference is in the software and controller.
The DCT in the M3 reacts way quicker and doesn't creep. Also you can control the amount of clutch slip, so in the winter it doesn't chirp the tires in every gear shift.
I had the 135i in DCT before, which was practically the same as the 335is DCT except with 3500RPM LC. I never used launch control before so I couldn't tell ya. Too much torque for the DCT to handle in the 335is when FBO. The clutch slips like hell and there isn't really "DCT tune" for it.
N54 should be enjoyed in manual 9/10 times, or the 6AT with the XHP flash.

I driven both. The 135i DCT and the 335is DCT is the exact same minus the LC.
I know because I have flashed both between both cars and they both react the same. The 335iS DCT software (not hardware) can support a bit more torque than the 135i DCT software (n54 vs n55) difference, otherwise both the same. Now owning the M3 DCT, I can confirm the 335iS/135i DCT cannot even compare.

Cool... I'll take your word on that...

I drove the m3 DCT found the car sluggish compared to 335is but the M3 was superior in handling...

I chose a 997.2 PDK over the M3 DCT at the end... PDK destroys all other dual clutches out there...

You can't even compare, the 997.2 is on another level. BMW will never be as good as Porsche.
