[Help] AT problems after changing fluid
So a years ago (approximately), i changed my AT fluid at a shop, a while after my transmission started slipping. Replaced my torque converter with a used one and the car ran fine.
A week ago, the egs threw a code related to oil quality/oil level low, and the transmission wasn't running smoothly so i changed the fluid/filter/gasket like last time. Now the torque converter is slipping again. What should i do? I am guessing there is something these shops are doing wrong (maybe the oil level is low?) When refilling, he told me to start the car in neutral and he pumped oil till the AT was full.. the car was running smoother after the oil change.. Any help is appreciated. Tx

You're filling the fluid with the car running, right?

Yes, i took it to another shop today, he said that the torque converter has a problem but it is still in the very early stages. He said that i should try adding a bottle of torque converter fluid that treats the oil and the problem will be gone for a time

lube guard products are legit.
but if you're getting TC shudder I'd look at the lockup solenoid or the pressure controll stuff. https://www.sonnax.com/parts/4629-re...red-valve-body |
