Well, I hope I do. However, on my iDrive the mileage to change the rear brake pads keeps going up or staying at 14,000 rather than decreasing. It went up from 12,000 miles to 14,000 miles in Jan 2009 and has stayed that way. In the meantime, the fronts have gone from 17,000 to 12,000 and I've driven about 10,000 miles. I mentioned it to my SA at the time of my last oil change and they checked the pad thickness and told me all was well. I will be taking the car back in in Feb for a Vehicle Check and I will be reporting it again. I hope they take a closer look at it this time.

$1708 for extended maintenance
On January 18, 2010, I paid $1,708 (no tax!) for the 2 yr/50,000 extended maintenance plan for a 2006 325xi. Called many BMW dealerships in the US and this was the best price. Valid at any BMW dealership in continental US for 2 years/50,000 beyond the 4 yr/50,000 maintenance that comes with the new car. Purchased with John Cutler at Walker BMW in Louisiana. Did everything over the phone (I live in Washington).

I have 36,000 miles and haven't had the brake service yet. The dealer estimate for the brake service and the next major service is around $2,500 total. That same dealer wants MRSP for the extended maintenance plan (about $2,100). The deal with John at Walker BMW Louisiana was $1,708, and this will save just on the brake and service alone!

If you buy out your lease directly from BMWFS, without going to the dealer, how do you get the extended warranty ? BMWFS said they don't offer extend warrany, does that mean you have to go back to a dealer ? Any dealer or has to be where your bought your car ?
