Anyone install a double din stereo? and heated seat button?
I have a pioneer bt910 laying around and wanted to see if I could install it in my E90. I saw only one that has a kit is metric but theres no spot for the heated seat buttons. I guess I could dremel a new spot for them but wanted to see what you guys did, ORRR if its even possible to fit a thick double din in the e90.
Thanks guys. |

Get the newer climate control panel with heated seat buttons built in. What sound system do you have? |

Hey thanks for the quick response!
I have the base model stereo right now (So I think it will be fairly easy for the swap not dealing with any amps) Im more worried if it will fit, I keep looking at that tiny space and how big the double din is and saying, theres no way lol and I haven't even taken out the old stereo to see if there is depth for the double din, thats why Im a bit worried ... Wow what year/model cars did that climate control come with? Brad |

Depends. If you have BMW assist, park distance control, or don't want to lose your chimes you'll have to relocate your stock head unit in order to keep all those. Also if you don't relocate your stock head unit the dealer will not be able to do software updates.

I have a fairly base car and I'm out of warranty so I'm not concerned about losing anything. There are no errors displayed (other than the notification that I need to replace the cabin filter, but that's legit because I do need to change it). |

Nice!!! thanks guys for all the help! Blah I have the base stereo so the chime is the old school chime (which I hate anyways lol) so that doesn't bother me.
Im gonna take pics and doc everything because the pics I see on the internet look real sketchy and dont look like they can even fit anything bigger then a single din without ripping something out lol Thanks again guys |

I think it depends on the year and the options.
The speaker for my warnings is definitely not through the stereo speakers.
but I don't have PDC. |
