it's totally worth it, even though its just a muffler on the 128i! for a dd it's not too loud, and not too soft.

OK WOW

Coming from Small Block Chevy's all of these exhausts at first sounded real Ricey. But these video's are showing me a different side of the exhaust!!! That sounds really nice puurrr not as raspy as some of the others, Maybe because this is a 328? Ive been looking at videos of 325i? Are they different Performance exhausts?

Any who that sounds nice you got me 2nd guessing myself now...... Do you have any other mods on your car? (mechanical)

If I wasn't saving up for a wedding I'd have one of these by this fall, hahahaaa. I hope to get one next spring though. Alas, bigger life priorities prevail (and I won't say I'm unhappy about it, I'm quite excited!). This and LED angel eye bulbs are all I really wanna do to my car. I've never been aggressive with my modding.

Well yea anything is going to sound ricey coming from a small block lol. These 2 videos are the most accurate in showing what mine sounds like in real life keep in mind the white e90 video wasnt even broken in yet. 325/328/330 all share the same PE. Only difference is for e92 and e90 is the length of the midpipe. Other then that all 3 should sound similar. As for my car the exhaust is all i have, im still running stock everything else and it sounds great. If you have high 900's to spend then go for it. I did and I dont regret a cent. I think its safe that I can speak for everyone that has one it was money well spent.

I will tell you right now the OEM M3 exhaust will sound nothing like how it does on an M3. I doubt it will be even much louder than the stock exhaust on our car.

+1, plus why would someone want that huge heavy POS out back anyway, its a huge risk for all the time and money invested to retrofit that into the rear of this car with re locating shit and sourcing a bumper plus getting it put in for it to be the test mule of how it will sound? No thanks. Some headers 2nd cat delete and the PE would be MORE THEN LOUD enough. If you need more then that then you're obviously in the wrong car. This is a I6 not a V8 it wont sound remotely similar, ive seen guys on the m3 board giving there stock rear sections away for free just to get rid of them.

I have the PE and you have to hear it in person to really appreciate it. Anyone who judges an exhaust sound from a video clip is a fool

Uhh there is the man who is sellng headers for $700. Might want to check that out soon before pricing goes up or there are no more. SuperSprint and MMW will cost a butt load unless you can get lucky enough to get ones used.

If you want a louder performance exhaust, then yeah, headers is the way to go:

After running a PE on my E46 for a few years, I put a PE on my E91 less than 1K miles ago. It definitely sounds louder than the stock exhaust, and its definitely louder than the E46 version. I wanted something louder so I could actually hear the motor over the road/tire noise while underway. Too loud? On the whole, no, but occasionally, it can be on the loud side (parkling lots/garages, etc...). There is no drone, but it does sound nice when you get your foot in it.

The burbles and pops when you come off throttle are a bit juvenile, but then, so am I -- it's kind of fun, if not a bit out of place on a wagon....

Not ricey at all..you can't get a better sound out of a straight 6 and it's pretty hard to do so. You won't get any drone unless you do a resonator delete.
