It has worked fine for me on iPhones, Android tablets, etc.
However on Android devices the steering wheel controls may not work... and you may have to start music playing on the device itself. On my iPhones, I can search for and play music from iDrive. Your car also must have the AUX/USB receptacle and VO option. The receptacle is in your console. Make SURE you have this first! When you start the car the WMA3000B powers up, and after the first pairing with your device, anytime you start the car, your device pairs up with the Tune2Air. Audio quality is good. I have not tested it on a non-iDrive car, but a search here may turn up others who have. Search for Tune2Air |

works fine in non-idrive cars, just need the usb/aux (ipod option) from the factory, which many of these cars had.
