Not required to display one anymore...

But still gotta pay 1600 a year for car taxes...

that's twice as much as i pay for my car insurance....it's nuts

Yup. County stickes are not required to be displayed anymore.
Now just need to get rid of those ugly ass inspection stickers.

Speaking of stickers, it drives me crazy that the dealer stuck on the safety inspection stickers asymmetrically on my last 2 bimmers :mad:

I think its arlington and fairfax...I still haven't figured it out. I know in my neck of the woods only alexandria cars have that additional decal.

Fairfax County was the first to drop the sticker requirement in Aug (July?) 2006, but there are a bunch of other VA counties that followed suit in January 2007. You should check on your county's website.

FWIW, within a couple of months of getting my 330i, I got my first speeding ticket in a zillion years. The first thing the cop asked was "where's your county sticker?" I had to remind him of the new rule. I think he figured I just didn't want another ugly sticker messing up my windshield.

I personally witnessed one stopping a soccer mom on a minivan with her kids in the back because she was going 42mph on a 35mph. She was on the right lane driving normally going along with traffic. </rant>

Yeah the fairfax county cops have nothing better to do. Fairfax county probably has the lowest crime rate, with the biggest budget, and they get all the high tech toys and equipment.

I sat in the back of a Fairfax county police car before...

the cop yelled at me because i complained it was too hot in the car...he didn't have a metal net type of barrier...

he had a bullet proof glass shield behind his seat....with no A/C to cool off the passengers

I think Fairfax is the only one without the sticker yet. I have gotten two tickets in Arlington over the past month for not having a sticker....Friggin Idiots!
Both have been retracted, but it pisses me off nonetheless that I have to spend my time getting them removed. I even caught the guy one time and he still wouldn't remove it...jsut said I was wrong! There are a million ways to save time with computers and a million new ones to waste it. I love that their little handheld ticket machines can write tickets with amazing speed while uplinked ot the mother ship, but not know I am a Fairfax County resident and require no sticker. NO love lost with me and the meter maids !

Yeah I can't do it this weekend either, mainly because I don't have my car yet and it is my first Father's Day!!!

I wonder if I need to plan a party for myself.

Spool, I want to see your car. I am hinged between Sapphire and Space and having the two together would be nice. I also want the aerolip and CSL's. I flipped when I saw your pictures the other day.


I didn't want anyone hinging anything on me since I might get a Father's Day command performance request at the last minute. I do think I can squeeze something in if I know when.

I think this week me and a couple of guys are gonna do an oil change at my house and have a mini lunch meet then take a few pics...

if ur in the area, feel free to drop by and check out the car...if i had to do it all over, i wouldn't get black...it get dirty so quick...
