That's a really good offer your offering people, good of you to do so as well.

But it just winds me up when I see these deals from sky, I know it's to get customers from their competitors, but I'd like to see some deals given to existing customers as well, I pay sky £75 a month and am a long time customer, would be nice to be appreciated by sky every now and again

Totally understand where your coming from. All I can say is you won't get unless you ask. It's a bit of a pain, but if you phone up and let them know your frustration they usually sort you out

Yeah you should be able to use it. Or you could put it on the Mrs name if that applies. If you want to try, pm me your email address and they send you the offer

I did threaten to cancel a while ago and ended up with a free 1tb box when they 1st came out. Shouldn't have to threaten to leave to get a deal out of them, but that's how it works I suppose.

I've got a friend who may be interested in your offer if that's ok??

I cancelled $ky 4years ago and switched to Freesat. Previously I was paying £65 a month, £780 a year, now I'm not. We worked out that the vast majority of the things we watched were on BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Five. Only rarely did we watch a movie or did I get the chance to watch football. So we were paying £780 a year for the privilege of watching and recording the 'free' channels. I now watch the football via other means...

+1

I remember a few years back when we had a chipped cable box - every single channel, sports, Prem football, movies, Pay Per view, porn the lot all FREE all the time.

And we still just watched Eastenders, Corrie and a few BBC documentaries etc, nothing that wasn't normally free anyway. (well, not free, £12 a month for your TV licence)

Each to their own though, what happends after year 1 though? trousers down time again?

It's a good deal bud, I didn't mean to say you were getting a kick back or anything
