2yr PCP deal

I just bought a Renault Clio Dynamique 1.5 86dCi TomTom for £4324 off list price.

£169 deposit followed by 23mths@ £169. Final payment of £6575. I recon that's a good deal. I'm sure there will be +ve equity when I change it, and I hope other manufacturers (BMW) follow suit. APR is around 4.3% MRRP on Renault shows the car as £14,550.

So it's going to be a 60 plate
It has integrated TomTom SAT Nav
16" alloys
Auto Headlights and wipers
Electric Windows
ABS and EBD
Anti submarine airbags
Cruise control with speed limiter
Curtain airbags
Front fog lamps
Manual Air Conditioning
4 x 20W radio CD MP3 reader with fingertip remote controls 2 tweeter and 4 speakers (including RCA s
'Sport' cloth upholstery in charcoal and with 3D design
5* NCAPP

72.4mpg Claimed with a combined 65.7mpg claimed
£30 Tax

How the car will look car from Renault's build your own mock up

The deal is originally from Parks. I bought my BMW from Douglas Parks who own them. They only had mettalic at an extra cost of £405. I didn't want to part with any cash but I believe there is no room to move and they know they will sell them all. I even offered to pay it at the end of the deal but they wouldn't bite.

So I left them and phoned Arnold Clark with the same proposal. He phoned me back in 10mins and said he had sourced a white one in a fleet sales place in England but he would have it sent up. Deal done.

Today he had no need to BS me and he said it was the only white one in Britain on their renault site.

That's a typical Renault deal, they have always strongly supported their PCP deals, been doing them for years - We have 3 espaces on fleet a few years back for 3 up front and only £150 per month for a £25k vehicle. Don't rely on equity as they drop like a stone.

Cheers for the heads up. I will have no problem walking away from it. It's purely a means to an end.

Partly because they have routinely offered 25%+ discounts. Ford are the same. I've seen 30% off new mondeos in the last 12 months.

I can always get 30% or so off a mondeo, and they are a bloody good car!

Even after the 30% off it was perfect for my needs and it was the fact that it is only a 2yr PCP that appealed to me.

Something else also. My 320i is £318 to insure for myself with my wife on the policy but it was going to be £695 for the Clio as Kwik Fit don't do two car policies.

Insuring it with my wife as policy holder and me named was £408 but at least she would be building a NCD in her own name.

I contacted Admiral and they will do both; Clio in my wifes name 320i in mine for £339 and £318 respectively. My insureance on the BMW runs out in April so I will only pay the pro rata amount of £129 in April and then both policies will be up for renewal next September.
