Just bought used 335i, have some weird things going on

Sparkling Graphite, E90. Love the color (kinda pissed they've discontinued it). However, I have a weird stain on one of my widows. It looks like someone poured something on it and it dried, staining the window. Its a clear stain and its looks like water drops running down the window, thought it was just bad wash job when i bought it (water marks) but after a few washes its still there. Any ideas? I have the same stains on my silver trim around the windows and it looks like its corroded the silver because its only in certain spots. I know hazing is normal for the trim but this is like hazed the to extreme. Any suggestions? These things aren't too noticeable but its driving me crazy (people have mentioned the stains on the trim).

Have you tried vinegar on the window? Can you feel it with your fingernail?

+1 on the vinegar. I had some hard water marks on the windshield of my last E92 and this did the trick.

can't feel it with finger nail, its hard to tell if its clear or not since the window is tinted. I'll deff try the vinegar though. Also, what are people using to clean their silver trim around windows? I thought i remembered reading about some good stuff but can't find the thread.

Garage List
Probably has something to do with the window seal being too tight. My old e90 would streak the inside and outside when opening & closing... after a while it always seemed to be there subtly.

BMW always dismissed this as "normal" as it happened on other cars. My 2nd & 3rd e90's didn't have the problem though... go figure

If the vinegar doesn't remove the marks try a polish, on the metallic trim use a finishing polish and a soft foam pad
