does anybody have any experience with h&r touring cup kit?
how does it compare to ,for example, to H&r sports with koni sports,or
eibacch pro-kit w/koni fsd's? thanks for replies.

The H&R Touring will ride a bit stiffer because the H&R shocks are valved more aggressively than the Konis. The Konis are adjustable so you can change the stiffness and are a solid setup but I prefer the Touring kit as it's designed to work together.

How does the ZSP suspension compare to the HR Touring. I am looking for lower the car a bit (HR Sports seem a bit too low for my taste) but not sacrifice any performance from my current ZSP.

I have been using the touring kit for about 2 weeks now. I honestly can say that the ride is great. compared to ZSP, it seems to be a bit smoother. i was surprised at how comfortable it rode...of course, this is all subjective. I would def recommend this kit.

if you think that the h&r sport is too low, then just remember that the touring kit will lower the car about the same amount. I had a short thread where I posted some quick pix a couple days after the install. I'll look for it and link it here...

OK, here's the old thread. This was after the install, so keep in mind that it has now settled SLIGHTLY lower than the pix show. rear fender is even with the wheel, front is a tight 1 finger gap (my asian fingers are skinny too).

The Cup Kit will lower the car and ride stiffer than the ZSP but will not be too aggressive for daily use. It's a nice upgrade over stock.

I have the touring cup kit on my e90 328i. Had it since mid June and so far I love it. Gave me a nice drop and it handles much tighter.

TOuring cup= sports springs
Sports cup= race springs (VERY LOW DROP)

Hands down the KW V2s but you are comparing two different levels of suspension- a spring/shock combo and an adjustable coilover.

it's hard to say what I paid for them, since I got the wheels/tires/install at the same time. Also, I went through a local shop that I've been using for many years so I got a great price. The shop is a vendor here, BavarianX, so send them a PM for quotes. You can also send a PM to Bobby@bavarianx. You can also check with Nick on this thread from JLevi, who is also a very reputable vendor. Digging up OLD bones here, I know... But, I'm ready to get our 2011 328i closer to the ground.
I've been back and forth between the Bilstein B12 Pro Kit and the H&R Touring Cup Kit.

I've seen about a 50/50 opinion between the two from a lot of post on this forum..
I know the Bilstein Pro Kit is about $210 bucks more than the H&R Cup Kit on ECS's site.

My goal with the car is - lowered stance without sacrificing all of the ride quality. Where we live in Texas most of the roads are ok, but since we live in town it's not too bad.

I understand the dynamics of lowered suspension, I've had lowered vehicles before. But this car is my fiance's daily driver, so I don't want her to feel like she's driving around in a covered wagon, or have problems getting in and out of driveways/parking lots, etc...
Plus this is our first BMW to Lower. She had an 01 330i prior to this car, but it was stock.

I'm not doing coil overs, and I've narrowed it down to these 2 setups (kind of leaning more towards the H&R Touring Kit in all honesty).

So, which kit should I spend my money on?...

Ive had experience with the both H&R touring cup kit and the H&R/Koni (Yellow) kit on my old E46. I can honestly I liked the ride much better with the latter. While I can't say specifically how it felt on the E90, I can say that the dampers in the cup kit will be just fine and perform well, but there is better, in my opinion.

Obviously you're thinking the bilstein, but I'm simply making a comparison of the cup kit versus H&R springs with up-rated dampers. I recommend the latter if budget allows but you'll still be happy with cup kit too.

Thanks for the input. I ended up going with the H&R kit, ordered it a couple days ago.
I figured, why spend more money on something I plan on replacing with air ride in the future anyway.

I'd like to think I can get most of my money back out of the H&R kit when I'm ready to sell, and not be out a bunch in the meantime.

I'll be able to tell if I screwed up in a few weeks when I get it installed.. lol

I kind of wish it were about 3/4 of an inch lower, but this is how it turned out.
Those are 19" wheels. The ride is pretty good, I just hope the springs will settle and stop popping.

The ride quality is better than I thought it would be. Definitely stiffer than stock, but not bumpy at all.

I love mine, the ride is smooth but has a good firmness to it, feels almost stock but with less body roll. Also installing m3 control arm kit on the front end this weekend!!
