Leasetrader / Swapalease

Hey guys I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with either Leasetrader / Swapalease?

Are either of them better than the other to post your car on? Do they really work? Anyone had success? Are they worth the money? Etc...

Thanks

I just got out of the lease on my 2012 335i coupe using swapalease last month. This is the third time I have dealt with them. They were great and you can negotiate with them. I don't have much experience with Lease Trader.

What were you able to negotiate? The fees that the website charges? When I was looking at it, it looked as though all the fees were fixed.

Yes, online you can't negotiate anything, but I called and spoke with Alex and he was able to do it for 100.00

This last time it took about 4-5 months. In the past has take 2-3 months. Just depends.

So I spoke to them last night, and I feel like I'm getting ripped off because of how negotiable they are.

I originally spoke to the rep and he gave me a pricing of 100, 300, 400, with different features and ad exposures. he started off by offering, with no negotiation done yet, of 50% off the 400$ price point to $200. After speaking to him for a few more minuts he dropped down to 150$. I said I'd think about it, and I e-mailed him to see if he could do it for 100$, and with no push back he said sure he'll do it. How low can they go? I feel like I can end up getting this deal for 20$!! lmao.

It almost makes me not want to put the ad up

Told you they are negotiable lol. I think 100.00 is as low as they will go, but if you spend 100 and get out of your car, it is well worth it. If I traded in, I would be upside over 5,000.00. Not saying I would take that deal, but spending 100.00 to saves 5,000+ is well worth the investment.

Be prepared to price it LOW or give a good incentive. THATS how they move.

This is true. One time I actually made 1,000.00 because my price was so low. Doesn't happen often, but it did happen.

Hey just wanted to thank you guys for your help. Got an ad setup on swapalease, found a buyer, and got all the paperwork done. Gave him the car today, and everything happened a lot quicker than I expected it to. Will definitely use swapalease again
