Procede N54 3-30 v5 DIC Beta.zip firmware and Cruise Control disengaging

Have anyone heard anyone complaining about cruise control randomly being turned off with the latest beta fw? I will be driving down the highway and hear a chime and see the cruise control symbol being displayed on the dash, and of course the cruise is disengaged at the same time. If I hit the cruise control stalk to reengage, the normal display of showing the current set speed only shows three dashes, as if no speed is being entered or set into cruise. The only way to get the cruise control to work again is to fully engage and release the clutch, and then cruise behaves as normally until it eventually kicks itself off again. I've tried searching, but have been unable to find anyone else with the same issue. I don't have active cruise control either, so I'm pretty sure it's not a radar sensor malfunctioning. Thoughts anyone?

Your clutch might be slipping. Try to brake and accelerate at the same time, see if your RPM's will shoot up.

I know what clutch slippage is, and that hasn't happened. Even so why would that disengage the cruise control?

It happens to me too sometimes. It is a beta map, they are aware of the problem and are already working on a fix. Hence why it's called a beta map. Don't worry about it for now.

If you turn off DSC/DSR, cruise control is disabled. Could it be related to that?

This happens to me as well. Sucked driving 1000 miles last Friday with no cruise control. I tried turning off DSC and it didn't help.

That would explain why turning it off didn't fix it for me. Lol

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this issue.

The beta maps made some pretty big changes in the way the Procede processes digital inputs/outputs like the roadspeed signal. So it's one of the things we are still working through. Do you recall around what speed you were at when cruise control disengaged? It's hasn't happened to me but then again I don't use cruise control very often.

My cruise does the same thing, but I've had this issue with Procede V2,3, 4 and any map I've run, so I feel like it's not the maps in my case.

Try 65.

Turn Traction all the way off. Then Turn it back on and drive on highway and try to hit cruise.

You have a 2007 right shiv?

It sounds like your road speed sensor is on the fritz. The cruise worked fine in other FW and maps.

I tried setting it multiple times anywhere between 70-85 mph. It would error/cancel after anywhere between 10 seconds and 5 minutes. It seemed less likely to occur on Map 0, bit the problem still occurred.

I am having the same problem as well. Mine typically occurs at speeds 65 and above. I have never had it occur at speeds below 65. I have been stuck using the work around of putting the clutch in and releasing it to re-enable the cruise, but it is still rather annoying none the less.

It happened to me 2 or 3 times about a month ago during a 2000 km road trip at 120-140 km/h. I was running V5 with 12-something maps from the end of last year at the time. It didn't occur to me that it might be due to procede. As mentioned engaging and releaseing the clutch allowed me to use cruise again.

I think I found the problem this morning. Saw a couple missing teeth on the waveform randomly. Looks like some DMEs don't care. While others will disable cruise control when they see that. Should be easy to fix.

this has been happening to me too. Glad to know this is because of the beta maps because I have a 1200 mile road trip in a few days! Can't wait to have cruise back ha

This happens to me too around 75-80 mph...im 6mt and my fix is to get out of gear to neutral then back to six gear and reengage cruise. Glad its an easy fix...

Usually in the 55-65mph range.

I don't have any big concerns about it, since I "know" how to get it to re-engage. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something else going wrong with the car.

Thanks for the update!

This has happened to me many times. It's not just the latest firmware.
After the gear trick I can re-engage the cruise control.
Happens mostly at 55 and 65 mph because those are the speeds I cruise.
