Wow, that sounds a lot like my CP-E exhaust, which is a good thing, but its kind of funny how there is so much interest over an exhaust that sounds just like one that has already been available for some time now.

I would like to hear some clips under load as well, but from how it sounds when revving it in neutral, it is very similar to the CP-E from what I can hear.

Would the exhaust pass emissions with just the cats in the DPs (i.e. no secondary cats)?

Yes. BTW, most states/counties do OBDII testing now so if there is no emissions CEL then you will pass, but it should pass a sniffer as well.

We were more concerned with performance and build quality than the sound to begin with, which I think is probably the more important feature of the system as opposed to its sound with any exhaust system, but it doesnt go without saying that it does sound quite remarkable as well. We have a couple of E46 M3 track cars, so anything we build, we do it with performance in mind first. I also want to say that the exhaust does not sound like others when driving as you will see later on tonight when jpsimon posts the other video he edited up.

Again, thanks to everyone for your feedback, positive or negative. We want this exhaust to be the best it can be and we are always welcoming to any suggestions you, as consumers, would like to see. It's always nice to see a community that can offer constructive criticism on new parts without turning it into a huge flame war. E90Post!

So if I'm not mistaken, the 335i in the video is running no cats, no res, no x-pipe. Just a full AE Turboback exhaust? If so, that sounds incredible.

The car in the video is running stock downpipes with the primary cats intact. The exhaust bolts onto the downpipes and does not have a secondary cat, resonators, or an X-Pipe in place.

You are slightly mistaken. This is downpipe-back, the stock downpipes are in it.

But you are correct about: no resonators, no x-pipe, no secondary cats.

i'll be posting another video in a few minutes. You'll definitely be able to tell the difference between CP-E and the æ exhaust from this next clip. The æ exhaust is more deep, and I want to say more "smooth" sounding. Eh it's hard to explain, you'll all see shortly.
