Part numbers Bilstein/Koni/Eibach

hey guys I am looking to lower my gf's 2011 e92 335i xdrive. I hate the 4x4 look next to my m3, I have been reading and everyone seems to like KW v1's which seem perfect but Im hesitant to put coilovers on the ladies car.... So after much research the regular 335i Eibach with Bilstein or Koni's seems to be what I want. I was unable to get a definitive answer on part #'s. could you guys supply me with the part #'s?

Here is what I just ordered after reading a lot of reviews. The parts are coming in now so until I install them, I can't verify the part numbers are correct. I hope they are.

Purchaed from Bavarian Autosport
VE3 E247 H1 FRONT SHOCK - LEFT SPORT - BILSTEIN
VE3 E248 H1 FRONT SHOCK - RIGHT SPORT - BILSTEIN
BE5 C042 H0 BILSTEIN REAR SHOCK - SPORT

Purchased from JSC Speed
2092.140 Eibach Pro-Kit for 07-10 BMW 335i Coupe/Sedan

And to eliminate the front rake problem, I purchased these.

Post some pictures when you have that all installed! I'm quite interested to see the rake with the perches and the eibachs

I have 3 BMW independent shops and a good mechanic that works out of his garage. 1 shop would not do it since I bought the parts. 2 shops wanted $700 to install (the book says 6.5 labor hours + alignment). My mechanic friend will charge me $300 and then I will still need to get an alignment. Most cars only take 4 hours for this job, but the 3 with AWD is more difficult. So keep that in mind when looking into this project. I used to replace my own springs on my cars, but chose not do this one.

My mechanic can't get to my car until 12/29. After installation I will post pictures. I think there is anther thread with pictures on the perches.

You know the perches do not work with XI strut hats right?

Dom J installed them on his XI
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...errerid=181840

and Supremepower shows them on their website for an X drive.

Please let me know if I'm missing something.

Try here, a number of folks have had to swap to non-Xi spring hats to make the lowering perches work

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...8#post12333628

I would definitely call SP and make sure one way or another. There was another recent thread about this issue but I cant find it.

OK I found it, look in the first thread you quoted, Dom-J says in his first post in that thread:

"RWD E90 strut mounts(you DO need them)"

Wow thanks, I missed that. I emailed Supremepower but have not got a response yet. Their website has many disclaimers about not working with coilover kits, but nothing about needing rwd tophats.

I guess I need to look into purchasing tophats or returning the perches.

Do you have any pics or your setup? I saw on another thred that you have an Eibach/Koni setup.

Some pics here, but not on level ground. This is low enough for my needs, I don't want to go too low esp in front. Snows a lot here.

Subscribing to this...

I just sold my E39 M5 that was on Dinan suspension, and now my 335xi feels terrible to drive around. I keep thinking something is broke the way I can feel it squish around in slalom type motions...has anyone else experienced this kind of feeling after driving a car with really great suspension and then going back to their 335xi ?

Here are some pics of my new springs and struts. The rear dropped over an inch but the front is less than an inch. I understand the front will settle in a few weeks, but I was axpecting more drop in the front.

The lowering perches don't seem to do much. To get an 1/8" drop and pay for the perches and rwd tophats is a waste of time and money.
