BC coilover installation questions

I'm fitting my coilovers tomorrow. How do i work out what length the drop links should be?

Also on the rear do i use the oem lower spring perch? I know the top one isn't re-used but not sure about the lower one.

Lastly fitting of the rear shock at the top. Is the info below in the pic correct?

Thanks

Out of interest does the BC kit come with a new upper spring perch?

I would say the washers look good, does the shock comes with a new nut or can you reuse the existing?

Hey Dan
Yes it comes with a new upper perch and they specifically say to use that and not the OEM one but they dont mention the lower one.

The shock comes with a new nut and washer spacer washer in that order but i dont think you can re-use the OEM nut

Just realised bottom left of that pic you can just about see the upper spring perch and then there is the rubber washer on the floor that goes between the perch and the chassis

Yes, makes sense as it is height adjustable.

The OE nut is captive to the washer so not easily removable.

I think you have it worked out correctly. At least this is the way I would interpret the kit.

I just fitted the B12 kit and the instructions were less than helpful but some simple common sense saw it installed correctly.

Did you sort the drop links? Presuming they are adjustable and the shell case length is the same as OE and that the drop link bracket on the damper is the same as OE, adjust the droplink to OE length.

If the shell case is adjusted shorter, you may need to increase the length of the drop link a little. If made longer than OE, you may need to reduce the drop link's length a little.

Ok think i get what yr saying!
Basically adjust the drop link accordingly to maintain the overall setting of the anti roll bar?

Eg if the bracket for the drop link on the coilover is 5cm lower then adjust drop link and make it 5cm longer? That sort of logic?
