Polishing rock chips
So what do you do if there are chips on the hood or whatever, when you go to polish with a PC or Flex? Move around them, ignore them, put some extra attention? I just don't want to hit a chip and have it tear up a huge gouge across the front of the car.

if you are really worried about that, you could always put a small piece of tape over it. i don't think it's a big deal though. a little polish might get caught in it but it won't rip

I'm talking about "chips" the size of the end of a pencil lead, maybe dull pencil leads. I'm guessing if I looked at these under magnification it would resemble a metteor crator in the paint, so didn't want to catch those edges and have them suddenly expand.
