You forgot to copy and paste the "Add to Cart" link... oh right, there is none.

This is what it shows in that link since at least last year: "IN DEVELOPMENT: When will this be ready?"

If you really want an as close as possible PnP amp for the HiFi then the only game in town right now is the JL Audio XD600/6.

I don't think that we understand each other... you cannot order this BSW amp as it does not exist.

I do understand you my friend... I'm just merely responding base on my thoughts on why BSW posted that Amp Upgrade and even put a price on it... I do understand also that it is an ongoing program and it is not ready yet for production...

It's expected as soon as the new 3 series is launched

Hi crzylildude,

Thanks for the heads up regarding the BSW system.
I had looked into this before but I gotta say as a sound engineer it does bother me not knowing the specs of what I´m buying.
I do own Focal studio monitors and they are some of the best I have ever heard.
Price wise it is great though, just wish I could hear a system installed.

No worries... You can always email BSW for the detailed specs of their package... I'm sure they have nothing to hide... also take into consideration what the others are saying...

Given what has been published about the base Stereo system's electrical signal, I don't understand why everyone is talking about speakers like they are the question. Speaker fitment choices may be limited, but we were solving those before the base Stereo system hit the US.

The bigger question is, how do you plan on correcting the signal?

All depends on the OEM system in your car.

- Stereo (no OEM amp): Focal states that their IFBMW-S can be installed in systems "without tweeters" (that's Stereo) which implies that no correction is required -thus no DSP required. If you are installing an XD600/6 then you will need to run new wires to each woofer (included with proper harness), which makes this install not 100% PnP but close to it.

The XD600/6 accepts the Stereo high level inputs so no converter is required but RCA-termination at the harness outputs is required.

The weak link in this proposed system would be the OEM underseat woofers.

- HiFi system: 100% PnP with the proper harness.

- Top HiFi: OEM amp cannot be replaced by XD600/6 directly.

The screw holes configuration of either -c or -s set does not match the rear OEM screw hole configuration/dimensions. They are made for front mount application.

Rear OEM speakers share the OEM center speaker mount dimensions. The front speakers mount dimensions are different.

I know many like to go through a knowledgable shop. Why not take good time and research exactly what you need and want, and then get on ebay!

This is what I have always done for my car audio needs. I have saved thousands by doing this. Just do your research first.

I will confirm that the Focal IFBMW does NOT fit the E92. Window mech hits it on the way up and down, door panel contorts.

So proceed at your own risk.

Ummm... Focal excludes the E92 from the compatibility list of the 3-Series but then the only comment posted in their site says that these speakers were installed in an E92.

You're only confused because you aren't taking my word for it . I should have videotaped it. Their original notes did NOT exclude the E92. I was sent a pair for testing by the Focal importer after I expressed concern. Perhaps the test car had hacked the regulator mechanism for other speakers installed before these?

Seriously, this forum is chock full of answers to that question. You're asking that question in a thread about a totally different car. I recommend you start a new thread. More people will see it and you will get more responses. Or read the stickies?

I was not implying that I was not taking your word for it. What I was implying was that whoever commented in the Focal site about installing this set in an E92 was not trustworthy -even Focal does not include the E92 in the compatibility list in that site.

I do remember seeing the E92 included the first time I saw that website, though.
