I did it, but it was a PITA. I removed the radiator fan and aligned the intercooler piping first, then re-install the radiator fan using brute force. I also had to remove the big radiator hose on the driver side (top) to make space.

A friend of mine just re-use the OEM pipe from the intercooler outlet to the chargepipe, because he couldn't make the CXracing pipe to fit. He also was worried about the CXracing pipe hitting the A/C metal lines. Hope this help.

It's all in the drill bits. Get some cobalt bits and be patient.

Slow and steady downwards pressure will make it a lot easier versus high speed which will just spin and create heat.

^^ This .... SLOW speed. Common mistake people make is to use the bits at high speed and end up deforming the metal from heat, and dulling the bit (from heat).

This is how my shop ended up securing the CXRacing IC to my car. Worked pretty well.

Nice install!

But the sizes that you presented is a bit inaccurate.

Here's the correct sizes:

CX Racing IC = 12388 cm3

KL Racing IC = 14158 cm3

Probably cheaper to just find a used one on the forum...I know some guys zip tied them, but really, a proper welded bracket/mount to the bumper etc..is best/sturdy. But that costs money as well...so...hence why one that is designed to fit stock so no rigging, like zip ties..haha..

Good luck though. Looking to pickup a 335is and get back on the forum more personally.

Love the N54 and cars.

Hey guys, I still get PMs all the time on this. The photos aren't working I was told, so I just reuploaded the ones I had again.

Coming back to the 335, this time with an 2011 335is.

This time around, just going to buy a used aftermarket one. Wasn't really anything available back 4yrs ago when a few of us were doing it, and the cost/time/labor/welding etc...works out to about as much as a used one from somebody, as long as you do it yourself IMO.

But, if you want to go this route. Not bad either if you do it all yourself.

Good luck.
