Hi Paul,

I would be up for it. I've been to several races in the past. If we pick a venue that isn't to far awy I would go - Donington Park may be an option?

Hi Pauls,

I'd be up for that. Donington seems to work as a nice central venue, (though I'll be away for that one).

yep I am up for that, it would be better as a stay over as we can have a few beers as well. I am not bothered where it is as mileage is no problem for me.

Although we have been to touring cars (amongst other types of racing) before, my son and I now only go to the sports car meetings, I think there is one at Donington and Silverstone this year, I maybe wrong though as my son sorts out the dates. We also go on the annual pilgramage to Le Mans every June.

Regards

Chris

Sounds interesting - a mini meet and some touring car action !

As an aside is anyone going to the altogether different race at silverstone on the 8th July 07?

Not unless I go by helicopter and that's not happening this year.

I've been to the GP quite a few times but it became such a ballache spending hours in the car trying to get in and out, that my dad said to his ticket providers that we wanted the helicopter flights as well or he would take his business elsewhere. Been three times by chopper, much easier.

Regards

Chris

If we get enough of us to go, it might be affordable to hire a chopper (helicopter not the bicycle)...?

B*gger, just realised that the Donington race its the same weekend as peppernick and gang are going to Nurburgring. I'm really up for the Nurburgring this year and want to go with others that have been before...

Can anyone make any of the other touring car races?

Donington is the only one I can make I reckon - others too far etc or bad timing re the new nipper. Bugger!

Last time I went by chopper the cost of the entrance tickets, flights and hospitallity for the day was around £750 per head and that was a few years ago!

It's just a fortuitous bit of corporate hospitality.
